This really takes me back. Makes me wonder if the world feels so different because it is, or if it’s me just getting old. It feels like expression was a lot more raw and authentic. But now people are afraid to do it because social media will dissect every word in every lyric and say you’re cringe af or whatever.

I would say that the bands that Influenced the genre were: FAITH NO MORE, MR. BUNGLE (lot of Mike Patton's work if we are honest) RHCP, RATM, TOOL, PRIMUS, MINISTRY, HELMET, PANTERA, bands like Sepultura, Machine Head and Fear Factory also influenced the genre but also jumped into it in a couple of albums of the era.

Did you know that snuff the punk from P.O.D was released in 1994 but earlier than korn and is considered as nu metal but it was less popular so people most remember korn as the first nu metal album

I come from an alternate timeline where hair metal didn't die off. Instead it split into A) a 60s acid rock revival scene not too dissimilar to stoner rock (that later turned into dmt astral metal not too dissimilar to deftones esque baddiecore) & B) a synthy techno variant not too dissimilar to crunkcore, but called neon metal, which sometimes had one foot in miami bass or digital hardcore & C) And the reaction against it was a nwobhm revival scene called the new wave of traditional heavy metal, sometimes called red sky metal, because the artwork is always futuristic undead bikers at dawn fighting skeletal cyborg dragons And latin freestyle & eurodance took over pop radio But shared it with yacht rock Which was somewhere between sublime & sugar-ray

Linea 77 dont get enough love on the nu metal scene, they were severely underrated. I hate when people throw that term around but the too much happiness and ketchup suicide albums were fkn peak for me back in the day. Ill nino Revolution also a fkn banger. That double x minus track that used to play on kerrang every day but never heard anything else from them. They made their 1 song count and its a masterpiece

So, when she's talking about climate change and you provide an inquiry, stating that "so humans invented hurricanes?" - it is simply no what was implied. AOC emphasized how climate change is contributing to the increase in a higher prevalence of more potent hurricanes, she did not give the impression of implying that "Humans invented hurricanes". For a video on roasting, the content is rather weak, embarrassingly exagerative, not to mention low quality. Try harder.
