Dealing with a petty person as we speak, this girl is beyond abnormal. Never wants to listen to any logic, lives in her head & never apologizes if she discovers the truth. Broke up, now she nags about stupid stuff she bought for me, stuff that I don't even remember. Toxic human being I've ever met! I block her, she will find a way to find me.

Petty people are illogical dwell on insignificant matters... They seek attention when ignored... The over react over small thing that are usually ridiculous... They set traps for their victims and dismiss the real issue... Petty people are grossly immature and won't handle real life situations and negate responsibility for their petty actions... Petty people will always lie when confronted about their pettiness... So I totally agree

I run into someone constantly in public who is completely petty about financial status. Anyone who has something they don’t have money for or that they can’t have. Total douche bag.

I had a "friend" and family that loves to petty. It came to a point where I just said this is your problem, not mine. Get out, I'm not letting that energy in. And I can tell when when someone is about to blow up for no damn reason. And they wonder why I don't like hanging out with them. Hey I love you but I don't like you. I'm sorry that I'm the one that has to tell you, but not really.

I know I can describe myself as being petty in certain aspects but when people play on your generosity as if you're a weak individual, and you call them on it, then they go away only to come back thinking they can do you like that again, oh no! I will be petty to the 5th power (carry the 1). Those kind of people think they can mastermind around you and play with your feelings to their benefit, I have to cut them off completely. Overall, I've grown up outta that and know to leave those kind of people alone and be as positive as I can be without those past tribulations tainting me for the long haul.

My mother is petty her last big petty thing was I didn't wish her happy birthday she never spoke to me called me out of the blue one day said she was coming by then said she was here to take the stuff she had me. I just told her to take everything she had given to me as gifts...

I've had to cut off my so called best friend over his clear issues that come out when we're around women, then he starts to throw dirt on my name to gain some attention over me. Mfs will go to the point of interrupting my conversation with stories of Gangsterism and telling the women that I'm a rapist.

I don't believe that petty people are pathetic. I think they just want the person who did them wrong to know that they are hurting them and that feelings are not small or trivial. They might hold on to things for very long time for a reason and maybe it's because they are really hurt I don't think it's about them growing up. When things hurt they really hurt and some just aren't easy to let go.

....and definitely do not end a friendship with a petty person.....I could write an entire book on just this last week. Like, WOW. We've all been petty at some point or another, before we grew up (or even after) but holy s*** I didn't think it be this bad! Amazingly, I feel very much relieved since I ended this friendship, even though she is being ridiculously petty several times a day (by texting and demanding attention). Thanks for this, it was just what I needed to hear to reassure me that I was doing the right thing!

Trinity Hughes yes this is petty. It sounds like your roommate has anger issues or he’s yelling at you for some other reason but is using the small issue as an excuse to go off. Leave as soon as you can-or it’ll get worse.

@@buildmebetter7895 I experienced something very similar with a former friend.He destroyed a 30 year friendship of something meaningless. It caused me to examine my friendship with this toxic person. In the end, it was a release from his selfish behavior. We are no longer friends.

I'm a Love Cynic to be honest, my mom she's been three times been broken and left alone with nothing. From that experience i promise myself to stay strong and disciplined and never let nobody take my heart and that love is for my family. I've never been on date ever (through high school just graduated last year) and i choose to be this way, I'm a quiet and soft spoken individual. I just can't handle a girl in my life that is special, i feel like its a waste of time and energy thinking about that person and they probably don't think about you or your story. I've taken pain in my life a lot of emotional pain that i wasn't old enough to experience, my heart is damaged and torned,i don't know if it can be fixed. Its just a matter of time

Should of seen this video 10 years ago.. My cynicism of love defined me for many many years, I even got very proud of it. I've never had a girlfriend but I've seen friends get hurt countless times in every stage of my life so far. I've seen guys pull their heart out for a girl just for the girl to take what they're offering and laugh at his face. I hated love and how it could be used to harm people. I never wanted a girl to take any advantage over me. It might be too late for me now though, I don't remember life without this cynicism. I don't hate love anymore but I hate lust and other manipulations girls use to get their way with a guy. When love is true, I have seen it work.. at least for a long while.

It's one thing to get your feelings hurt; you can get over that. For a lot of people though, it much, much more....their lives get wrecked, totaled. There is a big difference. It is hard not to become wary after that.

im fully agree with you but if you become an entrepreneur you will probly exploit some other people what do you think about it ??
@buildmebetter7895

+Marc Ven That is a possibility but it is not necessarily a guarantee. Not everyone who runs a business or other enterprise is out to exploit. Besides, that would be a rather impractical fear to remain exploited or underachieve.

Nice! I'm a love cynic! No, not claiming that over my life, but you are right, our pain is valid, but the time and energy spent on wondering, wishing etc...is a WASTE OF time....that we never get back. Great points!
