Do other power sit-to-stands do more for the patient? My dad has Alzheimers and even though his legs are strong he may not understand the instructions to "help."

When are medical equipment developers going to start considering the dignity of disabled people. This product would not work for me, I don't have the core strength he mentioned. I do not think the products are even made with people who have disabilities in mind. The person demonstrating does not have problems standing from sitting and does not require the aid of this device. At least use a disabled person when doing a demonstration. There are plenty of attractive disabled people contrary to what the status quo depicts so you don't need to hire a model.

They are using this wrong, you don't log roll a patient at all to use a patran sheet. I wish the website had demonstrations but they don't.

To be able to use this the patient needs to be able to pull themselves up and stand for a few moments. You can guide them with the help of a gait belt, but they need to be able to support their own weight for a few moments while you swing the seat panels down. If they can’t do this, you need to look at other types of lifts like the Hoyer. Good luck to you and yours.

Dear Diana. I was wondering if you would be so kind to tell me who to contact to ask for consent to use this video for our training sessions. We are a domiciliary care agency who is dealing with vulnerable adults and the video will help us a lot. Thank you

I have a question for use can you still get the Maxi move hoist & Sara plus stand aid if so where can you get one and where can you get a cheaper one because my Nan is 88 years old she used to have a stand aid to get in and out of bed and on earth are wheelchair but the people who gave it the standard was not listening to us when we keep saying it is the wrong type of stand aid so all together they change the standard for a hoist instead :( :( :( and now she does not like it at all because she likes her feet on the ground when we keep on saying about the Sara plus stand aid from the first time or( they keep on saying to us it is too much to buy) but what we say after that how about second-hand one or people who passed away and I still get the same answer again :( :( :( when she got the hoist instead we notice it was the wrong type for her so we tried to get the Maxi move hoist instead (and guess what they said the same thing again it is too much to buy) :( :( :( and now she is stuck with the hoist but we preferred a standard instead :( :( :( so now we're gonna try get the money to buy the right equipment for her to use with us and their carers

I have watched all the videos on this equipment and the instructions is by far the clearest and easy to follow but it would be complete if the other types of slings are also demonstrated eg transfer sling and BOS sling.
