It will fit under the system and catch the water that is spilled. We appreciate your input and will use it in future videos.

 I have a brand new 10x44 tank that I am going to add to my 10x44 water softener tank as I’m rebedding with new resin. I’m going to put new tank before the softener. But want media that doesn’t get back washed. I ordered a regular non electric clack control head and also have a new riser tube. My question is, what kind of media would be best that would last at least a couple years without being backwashed. I’d like the best media. Here’s my current setup before water hits my main house water line: One large capacity iSpring 50 micron self flushing electric filter, then 25 micron charcoal/sediment filter, then water softener, then smaller iSpring 50 micron self flushing electric filter, then three stage, 5 micron whole house filters (20x4.5 each), then the whole house iSpring uv light before hitting the main water to the house I’m also wondering if there’s a way to manually backwash this. I was thinking if I ran the water in reverse on the new tank only with water entering to outlet and exiting the inlet with a garden hose attached, that it would backwash it manually Thanks for any info!
@uswatersystems
@uswatersystems 10 сағат бұрын
Hello, The media you use will depend on the contaminants you are trying to remove. It is best to backwash media to ensure it is not getting clogged or that there is no channeling happening in the resin bed. We can get a non electric backwashing head for you tank . You should contact us and talk to a water treatment specialist. They can help you with your selections.

Changing the filters on this is such a frustrating process. This is my second year doing it and both times it's been a ridiculous process to actually get everything apart. Actually getting things opened back up is ridiculous, especially if you're trying to do it by yourself. The various fittings seem to tighten over time and the filter wrench works great if you pull, horribly if you push. The membrane housing... There's absolutely nothing on the unit to use as leverage to actually get it to turn. The unit in general is made of fairly nice plastic but making the frame from stainless steel would really help considering how much wallering is involved in getting things to come apart. Honestly, considering a design that involves levers/latches to secure things rather than screwing. My tank sits above my unit, when I went to inject the solution on the next page of the paper instructions was "bypass the post carbon filter." WHY is that not BEFOREHAND in the paper instructions and missing from this video? I had to juggle things to try and not lose the sanitizing solution on the floor while I bypassed the carbon filter. I also got a nasty surprise when I pressurized the system and realized the fitting leading into the carbon filter had come loose so it was spraying water (and probably some of the sanitizing solution) everywhere. I also have found the time estimate for how long the systems takes to "fill" (while empty) in the paper instructions completely inaccurate. I don't think I've waited for it to "fill" either time because it seems to take well over an hour even with no filtration in place. Your instructions are inconsistent between the video and the paper instructions. It's just a bad mess and you should really just take some random people from your family in to try and service a system and watch their blunders. There are even basic typos that have gone unfixed in the paper instructions like "Reattach tank the tube." Like did anyone proof read ANY of this stuff?
@uswatersystems
@uswatersystems 29 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feed back. Sorry about the frustrations. Just a question, do you unhook the tubing and move the RO unit to an open area for filter changes? I find that helps a lot especially when compared to a tight spot like under a sink.
@dark_arc
@dark_arc Ай бұрын
For anyone else struggling with the filter wrench... It's a "pull" design, not "push"; things go much better if you "hook" it and then pull.

If the concentration of soup is equal at five drops in all three beakers, this does not change the strength of soap. Comparing suds to soap strength is like comparing medication effectiveness to blood type. This water comparison makes no scientific sense other than showing the chemical reaction of soap suds and water types. Nice try with your analogy!
@uswatersystems
@uswatersystems 10 сағат бұрын
Hello, There are some very scientific explanations to benefits of soft water and soap use. However, this a video to explain it in easy to relate terms. It isn't that the concentration has changed but that the effectiveness of the soap is reduced.
