I found this video after watch one of The New Yorker's documentaries on Prime (SE1 EP10 March 14, 2016). The piece in the episode about Adams talked about his move from Alaska after 30 years to the direct opposite of space - NYC and showed longer clips of the performance of Sila in the outside space of Lincoln Center. Gorgeous layout for the instrumentation and vocals making me feel like not living in NYC is, in a way, a tragedy. |I wonder if there is a full video of this performance, even if it s not "the recording" mentioned here. And in that vein, where one can listen to the final recording pictured in this video. I am in love! my heart took to it immediately and the images of Alaska's beauty truly did enhance my listening experience. I am quite moved by this piece! Thank you for posting this video! ❣❣💞💞❣❣ PS: I subscribed!

I was in high school when this released. One day, I fell asleep listening to this and, while I was asleep, I dreamed about a peer of mine who did marching band with me. You would always see a bunch of the student's parents sitting in the stands next to where the marching band was set up during the games. This peer of mine had his father show up quite often, and I distinctly remembered one day looking at his father speaking to him and noticing how much.... just, pure love and sadness I saw in his father's eyes. I was 17 and couldn't even imagine ever having a kid or what that would be like, but it's like I got a flicker of something resembling what he may have been feeling, or so I thought. While I listened to this music as I slept, that feeling arose within me once again, and I remember waking up with tears in my eyes. It turned out that this student's father had cancer at that time, and ended up dying just a year or so later. I saw a father who may have been thinking he would never get to see his son grow up, see what kind of person he would turn out to be. And that's just terrible, because his son has become a very good person. And I've never forgotten that look.

I adore her. The only thing is with her new way of doing gigs, there is hardly any of her WONDERFUL banter with the audience. She could easily be a stand-up comic which shows with her talking. Smart as hell and even faster!! 🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤

Эта музыка очень близка моему духу, будто бы возвращает к себе истинному. То, что я испытываю при прослушивании нельзя объяснить словами; ощущение свободы, Великобритании, как ни странно, чего-то возвышенного и родного... Смешанные чувства...
