I still think Hunger games did such a marvelous work on writing a dystipia that was so so close of 2010s world, also being a great start for younger readers

ProTip: the on screen lady is just reading the on-screen text word for word-so just lower volume to ZERO and fast-forward thru the “content” wile reading the text yourself in about 90 seconds :)

I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith. So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana". I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly… I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling. He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car. A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.

How to write dystopia : -White cis female main character -Fake love triangle with 2 hot white men (the author need to really emphasize that one love interest is the worst human being on Earth and the second one is a feminist who treats fmc like a queen while being dark and broody and masculine and mysterious) -Have a black gay man, bonus if is a good friend to the fmc -Factions which don't really make sense and are just thematic stereotypes -Disfunctional government which is clearly stereotypical bad, no nuance allowed. Government bad. Freedom good.

My main character stays passive until the second half of the story. She's no protagonist, but a henchwomen for an antagonist. To fly under te radar is her attitude of life, as she thinks the less she knows, the safer it is for her. Then her boss gets killed by his own companions and she barely survives an attack by the protagonists, so she has to come up with a plan of her own, to find out what's going on and to get out of it alive.

As a close friend of Aleksandra I have to say that she is the most beautiful, wonderful, amazing, incredible, kind, warm, thoughtful, funny, charismatic person I know. I absolutely love her books and literary style. I am a huge, huge fan of Bunky but I have also read sections of Women's Literary Portraits and found it so stimulating - it is a very important work to re-examine the role of woman in modern contemporary societal context.

The bug alien soldiers in Starship Troopers are the perfect henchmen. The human soldiers are just dealing with a bug problem, something everyone can relate to if they have ever picked up a can of Raid.

On the show Will Trent, the titular character and Angie are two damaged people who get together over and over. Yet there is lots of tension, based on how they keep hurting each other, pulling away and coming back while the audience wishes they could just make it work.
