What pisses me off is people run around gathering resources and smart people figure out a way to put that shit together then important steps are missed to get it done fast and the whole cycle has to start over sooner then later. America need to look at parts of Europe and think about building stuff that is going to last. My problem with Tamko is the heavy granual loss after a short time. When someone calls me out to look at their roof and they say it's 13 years old and the thing looks 30 you can bet the farm it's Tamko. I'm not sure how they stay in business. Tamko is the Town Whore of Roofing Shingles.

I have came across tamko shingles sealing to aggressively to the point you can’t get them apart without ripping them, I’ve also ran into the same situation as the video. In my experience I have found tamko to be very inconsistent with quality.

Great video. I inspect 1,000 roofs a year looking for leaks and storm damage. This is the number one leak I see. When I do pipe boot replacements, I don’t even nail the bottom flange. But I like how you recommend nailing up and toward the middle of the bottom flange.

Looking for advice on how to go about replacing a roof section by section. Like to get confirmed if starting at the bottom of a section is good. I dont have a long term time limit, i just only have about 3 hours each week for the forseeable future.
