Davy never played the bass.. Peter did. He was also late on the backup vocals. I'm not sure what the guy in the back next to the Micky clone is doing with his arm. it looks like he's shaking the maracas

Davy did play bass, live, in the late 60s when Peter quit. Somebody had to! Just like Micky had to learn to play drums, Davy learned to play bass. You can find pics of him playing bass if you look for 'em.
