How long would these tincture last? I found some I made 5 years ago the other day. Also there is a laughter effect if you over do it that might be worth mentioning. Thanks great video as always.

Teasel is incredibly invasive in the US and is destroying our ecosystems. In Illinois it is illegal to distribute seeds. Please consider your local ecosystems before planting this.

Hello Yarrow, your work is amazing! So much information, I have been following for quite some years and I absolutely love the way you work with the plants and you present them to us. We are so lucky to have you around….✨ I have tried skullcap with oat and passionflowers and it is incredible. I grow my own plants and I am in my way for the first harvest. Yeah!! Any contraindications or interactions with medication we have to be aware? Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge 🌿🌱🏵️

It's an amazing plant. We use it in Central America as well. I haven't cooked with it but doing the clease by rubbing it all over the body and then using a maseration of alcohol and rosemary (or any other similar herb) not only feels amazing but has helped me with my gout. I really recommend using the alcohol, it helps alot.

It’s called a *Biennial* not a “Biannual”. Biannual is something that happens twice a year and not a term used in plant science. (Like a corporate biannual banquet, twice per year.) Biennials is what you are discussing. -Obi Wan Yoda Kenobi

Look into candida, fungus overgrowth & start healing the gut. Antibiotics are horrific for killing off the good bacteria, so much stems from damaged gut health.

I had nerve damage after having a T.I.A. (mini-stroke) about 10 years ago. The T.I.A. was caused by sleeping in a home where there was a "smart meter" installed on the outside - just on the other side of my head where I was sleeping. After 5 months - I had a mini stroke. Anyway, I recovered - and moved out. Nothing like this has happened since. I had tons of stress after the T.I.A. and would have mini breakdowns often - way too often! So a good friend - who is an herbalist and kind of like you - walked in his house - after I told him what I was going through - and handed me a bottle of skullcap and said take this! I took it immediately. And It helped - IMMEDIATELY! I took it for 5 months and am convinced that skullcap healed the nerve damage - 100%!!!! So happy to see this video as I trust you and your knowledge of herbs! THANK YOU!

Yes they can, there are oils in the leaves as well, just not as potent.

absolutely, just do a bit of research on ideal habitat as I have seen some folks have a hard time growing it, while others find it very easy. Really depends on the location it is placed

Thank you! 🫶🌱🫶 I have bought a skullcap tincture last year and I found it really helpful with my general anxiety, so I grew some myself this year. It’s just started to bloom a bit now and I was wondering when to harvest… I expected way more blooms actually, but mine look just like these in the video, so I should be good! 👌

sounds like I need this herb in my life. Ive been using and (growing, well the Lemon Balm has been spreading and growing on it's own very happily)for the reasons you mention especially grounding and trying to remain comfortable in public settings. Would you say Skullcap works even better? I think lemon balm has been helping with anticipatory anxiety mostly in my case.

Hello Yarrow. I've been making and sharing Skullcap tea in the early evening for quiet a while, to help relax and prepare for a good night's sleep. It's one of my favourite nervines.

Poifect, I was just wondering if there was a native for stress that I could use instead of Lemon Balm perhaps. I grow this herb already :D Also I use Lemon Balm for Chronic EBV which is very similar to Long Covid and it changed my life, so if this works just as well thats amaaazing.

I have seizures if I’m not medicated. I haven’t had a seizure in many years but when I tried going off my prescription I did have a seizure. I have been harvesting skullcap for the past 5 years in hopes I can get off my prescription and just use skullcap. I have my doctors support he just said he knows nothing about it. So my question is how would one wean themselves off of the prescription and ease into the skullcap at the same time? I also have the support from my chiropractor. I have been practicing herbal medicine for the past 5 years and love it. You are my favorite herbalist
@emilybh62553 күн бұрын
In addition to Skullcap, if I were you having seen the synergistic effect Skullcap has when taken with other herbs like mentioned in this video. I would add those in and gradually take less and less of the Rx. The formula I saw stop a petit mal seizures permanently was called "Nerve Restore" by Quantum Herbal. Unfortunately they are no longer around but their formula included Skullcap, Oat Seed, Orange Peel and leaf, Celery Seed, lavender, Coffee Bean and kola nut.t.

Your message leads to the best way to do this. If it were me, I would slowly easing into skullcap when working with this type of thing, also not in too large of a dosage to begin with. Working with a herbalist or other practitioner around this is ideal to get feedback and modify as you see benefits or challenges that may come up. May even want to start a low dosage while still on prescription. Though this is not meant to be medical advice. You need to take responsibility for your chooses and notice/modify as you get feedback from your body.

Can you use it as a liquid, and maybe use a small soft cloth dipped it in the tinture, and place it on your chest? If you don't want to smoke it, and tea is unbearable to drink. I purchased some Mullen in tea firm, but my daughter doesn't like the taste that well, so I was thinking is that possible.
