choosing god is something we are all called to do in every mundane experience of our lives in the world and there's no monopoly on that by religious orders, growing in spiritual maturity is what is supposed to happen to everyone in life...people who have kids, jobs, ill people, housebound people, sports people, rich people, ordinary people, god is talking and calling them all exactly where they are and working them through all their situations if they listen...and it's an insult to tell anyone they'd have to go be a priest or nun to 'choose' god, they are just one way of achieving the same thing

I believe it is all about discipline he learn when he was in the cave that why experience help he had to have rules so you don't have a choice but to have discipline you become humble and you find out quick it is all about God remember God has rule that what makes you grow spiritual we all have to start somewhere and he learn in being by him self in the cave remember he didn't have it all but God by his side and that makes you humble human being and you known then how much God love us that the same way are Lord did it following his Father Rules❤bless you all!!!

The evangelical scholars that interprete the bible was got a mistake. The 4 beast did not represents babilon, media persian, greece, rome, because these 4 beast, the 4 winds is from the north,east,west,south, it is a 4 corners of the earth. I think this kind of perspective seems to portray the composer as some sort of advertising company for the Pope, which is absolutely anachronistic. As much as ideology plays a part in terms of the composer's mentality, I think this is taking it too far. It's much more likely that the text simply reflects the view they had of muslims/arabs than a will to actively persuade people to go to the crusade. Which means the errors are more likely to be from lack of knowledge rather than deliberate manipulation.

The Bible is a terrible source for historical accuracy anybody who didn’t go to Sunday school and went to college will concur. I’ll say this much too the Bible is nothing more than propaganda promoting racist sexist ideals that still affect society to this day.

Please also compare to the finds at Khirbet Qeiyafa, which is Biblical Shaaraim. Shaaraim has the special plural ending for two items. Shaar means gate, so Shaaraim means two gates, and there are 2 gates, an anomaly in ancient small towns. Finds include a jar inscribed Ishbaal ben Beda, and a shard (ostracon) with several lines of Paleo-Hebrew. Other finds include shrine / temple models. Dates to the Davidic period. Amazing!

It's not the oldest example of Hebrew. The Gezer Calendar is. It's from the 10th century BC. It's not the oldest reference to YHWH. There are two Egyptian inscriptions from 1400BC referring the Pharaoh's enemies, among these are the Sashu (Nomads) of YHWH. These are relatively uncontroversial. The Amulets are the oldest Biblical quotation.
