Is there perhaps a cultural connection here to the Israelite tabernacle? I am struck by the similarities of a temporary religious building consisting of wooden posts and screens that then is superseded by a permanent stone structure. Even the layout has some design echo, with the large enclosure around the central sanctuary.

Ten thousand dead to build his city. I wonder if the dead were the priests of Amun and their children.

I really enjoyed this. You say that the fetuses have been linked to the Younger Lady. This implies that we actually have the mummy of Ankhesanamun, an unlikely prospect but not impossible. I have never heard this! Astonishing fact if it's true. Also, I wish to know what software you used to make this video. I want to make something similar on a totally different subject, and the format appeals to me.

Nefertiti's bare breast would have been plaster-painted-over with clothing. Akhenaten, as Chief Regent, on the 'Amarna' Throne, HE would DEFINITELY WEAR the Pschnt-(dual powers) Crown;. Nefertiti WOULD NOT disrespect the Horus-Throne, and outstep Her Tefnut-as-NUT, role. Didn't you know that? Act accordingly, or STEP OFF!

And your qualification to know this is ??? Quote your sources.

On your 'Nefertiti Co-King?' page, you mis-identify (purposefully I see) Queen/Co-King NeferneferuAten Nefertiti, with bare -to-current-sight- breast -- sitting on-Throne on our LEFT; and Wa-n-RA, wearing His pschnt- Crown, caressing Hbis Wife's chin, sitting on the RIGHT. LOOK...be a GOOD SCHOLAR. DONT tell lies...OR...ADD TO SUBTERFUGE !!!!!! STOP IT. (I thought you were cool at first)

Wait, what? Tut is succeeded by Ay and around minute 41 you're asking why Horemheb, shown in the tomb scene, "waited" another 8 months to be crowned. Ay would have been Pharaoh even if Horemheb got back in time. It would have been 4 years and 8 months.
@amarnaresearchfoundation5 ай бұрын
No, after Ay died, Horemheb became pharaoh, but it seems that 8 months elapsed between AY's death and Horemheb's coronation. There is no record of who ruled during this time, but it "may" have been Horemheb as general ...

Google Earth has updated its satellite images of the area and you can clearly see the reconstruction work and the outer wall - which looks way bigger on the satellite images compared to the video's graphics that have to sacrifice that scale for detail. Did the Nile vegetation extend further back to encompass this whole area? Looking at the satellite images it looks like that entire area was a flood plain or wash extending to the cliffs in the east. Also, what are all the numerous rectangles and squares that extend north both inside and outside the outer wall - they are everywhere (on the satellite images).

Barry Kemp, you're my all time favorite author. Your introduction to Ancient Egypt; Anatomy of a Civilization is excellent and has helped me frame my own place in history and I've read it several times throughout the years.
