The lil guy has better technique but the big guy is a monster!

I see that the Red Knight has good techniques and powerful strikes but also very good self-control.

Ridiculous. Neither used the weapons to there full potential. There is a hook on the axe head for a reason...idiots. small guy dead if it was real, fast. Big guy dead against anyone slightly skilled lol.

im not sure if the guy performing will see this, but if anyone at all knows im really curious how they protected themselves. Is it blade proof armor underneath the knights armor? Some of those hits were crazy, is that armor really that strong? Man i need to know, cause even then if they double up on armor there's still weak spots what if someone gets hit inbetween like the armpit, and even if it does hit the armor I could just imagine the bruises
@axemaster22 күн бұрын
Hello and welcome to my channel and watching me fight. The weapons are blunt. Armor is as close to "blade resistant" as it gets. Nothing is blade"proof". Armor worked.very well against sharp weapons (any move that shows a sword edge hurting a guy in plate armor is total bullshit). Armor works even better against blunt ones. If you get hit in a gap, you deal with it like you would in any other combat sport. Tough it out..or not
@brettskinner785922 күн бұрын
The axes are blunted to 2mm thick so the edge is around the thickness of a nickel and we do often where additional padding under the armor in spots that are at higher risk of serious damage but for the most part the answer is: Armor is really effective. Most shots that land on armor dont get much worse than uncomfortable. There are gaps in the armor and they do get hit from time to time (we even target them) and when a shot does land in a gap it's very painful and can definitely end a fight but generally in one on ones if both opponents are skilled it's pretty hard to land a really hard shot in a gap though you do see it somewhat regularly in lower skilled fights. I am the smaller guy in this video so I can tell you through this entire fight the hardest hit I took the whole fight is the shot to the leg right at the end of round 1 which had me lipping all night and the next couple of days once it had time to swell some. The most painful thing that happened in the fight was actually when he drug me down by the face of my helmet I landed weird and separated my left shoulder which is why you see me tuck my left arm in right after the fall and then I use it to stand up because I was trying to see how bad it was by bearing weight on it and I also didnt want him to know he had just hurt me. That one kept me out of serious fighting for almost a month but similar to the leg it held up fine through the fight it was just later that night once swelling had started that it really gave me issues.

@@brettskinner7859 Thanks to both of you for taking the time, and yeah that leg shot really shocked me I was like how is he standing. Suprised but also makes a lot of sense a fall like that would do some damage, thanks for sharing ❤️

How heavy are these axes, Mr Rohrich? Also, you are an experienced person, I want to ask you. How much strength does it take to use these axes?
@axemaster2 ай бұрын
Mine is about 4.5 lbs. The vast majority of medieval axes, even two handed ones were no heavier than about 10lbs. The tree felling as in a hardware store are about 7lbs. Speed in related to power. Successful fighters in my sport strength train at the gym and in armor. It's hard to say how strong someone has to be. I can say the stronger you are, the better you use them. The beginner stats here might be a good baseline strengthlevel.com/strength-standards/male/lb
