Definitely makes sense to keep it all in one place. I use a 5-year A6 Hobonichi for daily journaling, but there's not enough space to go into too much detail.

What size nib do you have on your Pelikan m600 violet/white? I love that I found your channel and I have fallen in love with that pen. I don't even use fountain pens, but I might have to start.....😆

Yep, it's a fine nib, but it's very wet so it writes like a medium nib compared to other brands. It's a beautiful pen, but sometimes I wish it was a little bigger, like an M800. Those are super expensive though. The nice thing about the hobby is there are some great entry level pens. Unfortunately, it's a slippery slope from there...😅

I don't get to my media journal on time so ...I have a cheater notebook. Messy lists of my non-youtube media consumption and book reviews as I finish them. I don't write a lot for any book (several to a page in my "real" journal) but copying over what I felt when I finished it feels nice. If I wait a month or more the commentary is similar to "MC did a thing that annoyed me, merry band of friends redeemed book, ending was plot armor riddled tidying." That makes no sense a year later lol

A cheater notebook is a great idea! I tend to write a few lines on scrap paper to remind myself what I want to journal about later. I find it especially hard to write reviews on books that are only okay. If I don't feel strongly about it one way or another, I have little to say. Now you have me wanting to start a journal on the TV and movies I watch. As if I need another one! lol

@@AsToldbyJoey Mine all go in the same notebook! I've got TV, Movies, Podcasts and Video Games as categories alongside Books. A lot of what I write is more about my feelings than the media. For a few months my partner and I watched a sitcom at dinnertime. Dinner and a show is our routine anyways, but seeing that we lasted months on one show was really something to appreciate. Sometimes we'll start a show and by episode 3 I peace out. Documented! lol It really is an entirely different beast than a reading journal but I highly recommend.

I wish I could send you a list of books I have piled up to give away. As a lifelong book collector, among other things, I have books from my parents and grandparents. I’d love to send some on to you, so you don’t have to inconvenience the folks waiting for you while you are deciding what to get 😂. No joke, really. Media mail is cheap, and I’d be happy to send a boxful!

It's definitely a struggle sometimes, but I also enjoy the consistency. It's nice to look back at a journal I used over multiple months/years and know exactly when I wrote something because of the color ink I used.

I mix my dryer colour with Pilot Black since it is so neutral. You can try that with Daddy Long legs to make a more legible colour. My favourite is rainbow's end. It does look beautiful.

This is the best red ink video I‘ve seen by far! It’s Sunday morning in Germany and I had such fun watching this. You have an amazing sense of humor and I left a subscription. I‘m not really into red inks, but I do use Dominant Industry Romania Red sometimes in my Lamy 2000 <EF>. It‘s a darker red in the EF nib. I really like dusty colors - be it pinks, greens or browns. Thank you for sharing this video and brightening up my day!

I love your journals so much! You’ve inspired me to create a separate journal to catalog my physical TBR and other lists of books I’d like to read. I don’t include these in my yearly reading journals and always wanted to catalog it in some way. Genius!

Oh, as a fellow teacher I totally get the red ink thing! I’ve always used purple :) just use a different red to turn the lines into a dragon 😁 That’s the beauty of working with papers and inks. Yep def an owl…. Thanks for the inside the kind of an inker elf 😚

Zodiac Pen company is one of my favorites. I have six of his pens so far... 😬 Your pen is gorgeous. Happy birthday and what a great haul. Haha.. I just don't want to be wrinkly.... Girl! I feel ya. I will be 50 this year and so far hardly any wrinkles. Skin care and spf is a must.

I have a horrible tendency of not moisturizing my hands because I don't like it on my books/pens/journals. But now that I'm on KZfaq, I have to remind myself to protect them money makers. 😂

came for the tote (i'm v impatiently waiting for mine to arrived), stayed for the cute journal content, you're so fun to listen to! and i love that you have a journal for everything! i also have a stack of books i use daily, so i'd been looking for sth to hold them all so i can move them about the house. i LOVE the look of absent studio's rialtote, but it's far too tiny for me, so my plan is to create sth similar using this as a base and some pieces of leather :D

I like how you edit, what you have to say, and the pacing of your videos. I'll probably watch them all. I mean, I'm not even remotely into fountain pens but I liked your videos on pens and inks. I love the swatches you have on small cards and a ring, what a fun pop of color. I have some tasks that I'm supposed to do and always seemed to find a way to not do them. I spent Q1 with planners for the first time and I'm going to try and determine which blocks of certain days could be used better. Like if I had plans for 100 crochet book sleeves, I'd be breaking that down into step by step what gets done for each. Then figuring which steps can be batched. Then telling myself "on Tuesday complete steps one to three for the first ten sleeves". Breaking it down like that gets me in the whole "work" mode and I'll typically go longer. Maybe telling yourself to review 10 pages on a Thursday could help? I'm very good at not doing what would actually benefit me in the future. At the end of last year I was watching a lot of planning/bujo videos and the idea of doing a task or a chore for "future me" kinda stuck. Well, at first I dismissed it as dumb, but then decided to try it. I like your videos a lot. I hope you're able to continue.

Thank you! I try to keep my videos short and (hopefully) entertaining so they’ll appeal to a broader audience even if it’s a niche subject like fountain pens. I will have to seriously try blocking out my time. I’m not great at making things easier for future me either. I don’t like being told what to do, even if it’s me dictating the orders. 😅 I’ve recently gotten back into crocheting, and my hands hurt thinking about doing that many. Do you sell them?
