I love my SM10 carbon helmet. But installing the cheek pads is a pain and I don’t like the snap on chin strap. I wish they went with how Bell did it with the magnetic on the cheeks and chin strap. Makes it lot easier and quicker getting the helmet set back up and taking off

I bought one after reading about broken ribs & scapula on one Utube test rider's slow speed urban slip on diesel.....but... In the instruction book it has an exemption clause for pacemakers or heart conditions. Written in RED it stated Do Not Use if........ So, sadly, I returned the garment for a refund......but am still wondering why I am excluded from using one when I am still able to ride according to doctors/cardioligists.... Is it a case of legal liability protection or nanny state overkill? Sure I have had open chest surgery, but from the video's made by Alpine Stars the TA5 looks like it inflates very gently and does not crush the chest, unless maybe, it's installed in a non compatible (not enough expansion room) jacket. I'm perplexed. I want one, it's got the best rib cage coverage over Dianese and Klim vests, which kook like giant life vests for boating when they inflate......... Perhaps Alpine Stars reps can advise, as staff at shops just don't know the answer.......I think I will end up buying one anyway - after watching the video it passes my seat of the pants test criteria, but an affirmative answer from a technical expert would be very helpful 🤔

Not happy with my Tech-Air 3 system. It stopped working after 3 rides. Will not turn on, will not charge. Your customer service has lacked in getting me help for a return. It seems they are too busy to get back to me after weeks of waiting. I'm NOT a happy customer.

One thing... Wouldn't the big plastic part on the back, where the canisters and electronics are, become a problem in a crash if the rider lands on the back? A smaller, raised impact zone looks problematic to me.

Hello, in your website it says that it has been designed to fit over any Alpinestars’ upper body protectors. Do you only mean the tech air vests or the separated shoulder, back and elbow protectors too?

My Tech Air 3 vest discharged last week when NOT connected and armed. Ie, the connector and zipper not engaged. Supposedly the system should have not been armed at that point. And as I removed the vest it went off. Scared the crap out of me. And it makes no sense as to why it activated as at that point it wasn't connected and on me. So now I have to contact Alpinestars and I'm sure I'll be out of however much money it will cost to have it shipped there, inspected, and repacked. I really wanted to like this as I like the concept. I've spent thousands over the years on various Alpinestars gear and my friends have even joked that I look like I'm sponsored by them. Well, I'm truly hoping they make this right. But my last interaction with them after failing to get the vest registered and the app downloaded, really doesn't give me much hope.

I got this jacket and its super good, most of my products are alpinestars and so far , I only had bad experience with the Morph sport gloves. Boots, leather gear (gp force), turing gear all good. Looking to buy the matching pants for this jacket in the next month for the season.

To use it with tech air 10 do I have to buy a larger size? for example I have size 52 should I buy a 54?

Guanto di media fascia. Non ha un pad rigido nel palmo della mano ma solo una leggera imbottitura che si distrugge al primo contatto con l'asfalto. Non hanno protezione per il metacarpo che ho fratturato alla prima caduta. Allo stesso prezzo oggi esistono guanti migliori.

Rispetto al modello precedenre è stato tolto il pad rigido nel palmo della mano che proteggeva il metacarpo dagli urti. Scelta errata secondo me che ho subito la frattura del pollice

6 years ago I crashed at 100Km in a deer (at 63 years Old). I was wearing full gear. Broke a clavicule and 6 ribs. Am I correct to assume that a tech air 5 with shoulder sleeve would have prevented all broken bones?? Also what happens if Jacket does not have 4 cm ( or 1 size larger)..Will Bag still Deploy?
