What is this striking? Hasn't a single coach there tried boxing?
@TaporNapJiuJitsu-jt5re11 сағат бұрын
The coaches have excellent striking skills and we are trying to learn. Being a jiu jitsu school, grappling is our focus though.

When you see "purple belt" in the ufc. It normally just means their bjj coach is legendary status. They wont give you the black belt even though you are world class, simply because the level in their gym is stratospheric. So if you see "purple belt" from gracie, thats worth every mcdojo blackbelt on the face of the earth combined

Giving up double underhooks to chase a low percentage submission while in a brown belt’s guard? Yikes 2:44
@TaporNapJiuJitsu-jt5re4 ай бұрын
As all of the videos prove, I am not very good and will often abandon a safe defensive position just to see where it leads. Besides, he is a brown belt. I could have him in a fully stitched up RNC and he would still bow and arrow me. Thank you for your input.

This blue belt is excellent at letting people work. It’s obvious that he’s left his ego at the door as he’s not afraid of getting tapped out by lower belts as witnessed in other videos. Keep up the good work!

We start gi sparring from the knees and focus on ground work. Our standup practice starts standing and we can focus on punches and kicks, and/or include takedowns, and continue on the ground to submission.

Observations: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLqclJyasJ2mZaM.htmlsi=k9pKB1ndEQ7lAzZX&t=145 When you land in Side Control, your left knee should be at the bad guys shoulder, your foot at his belt. This makes rolling back difficult. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLqclJyasJ2mZaM.htmlsi=f2CqQ0B1i8-LTRr3&t=223 Pin the defending arm with your forearm, not your hand. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLqclJyasJ2mZaM.htmlsi=Nnnn_jJEkCUw7m_o&t=490 Your right arm should be controlling the attacker waist when you begin the elbow escape. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLqclJyasJ2mZaM.htmlsi=qEREhd4K5oRElLHe&t=559 The arm you are posting should be wider for more support. It is too far north, making a weaker base. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pLqclJyasJ2mZaM.htmlsi=0fm_OvE2w241nPjM&t=708 The arm movements immediately after transferring to the weak side need some cleanup.
