If you search "Nickolas on violin", you will see a 4 year old boy whose bow is parallel to the bridge, as it should be! The bow should be parallel to the bridge from lesson one! Wake up, guys! He needs a proper teacher, Asian or Russian.

"Jelijah's audition showcases his impressive skills, as he effortlessly navigates the C Major Scale, a 2-octave G Major scale, and the D Major Scale"/ It was funny to read about "effortlessly navigate", as all scales were played badly out of tune, as expected from any 4 year old, and the bow was only used at half of its length. It is fine for a 4 y old, very good! But no scale has been played yet really. The scary part is that the fingerboard has stickers. For a child like this, talented, stickers are a no-no, they are stunting the development of aural skill. Are they removed by now? OK, the parents are naive and are fed rosy-tinted stories about their child, being charged, charged money.

In this video he was only 4 years old and was the youngest to be accepted in his Orchestra school, no other 4 year olds were accepted.

@@JelijahDiaz This orchestra is beyond awful, should not exist at all, their playing is outrageously bad, and they take everyone, just pay! You just don't hear the atrocities in their playing. If you want perfect pitch for your son, he must not attend this horror. There is no merit in being accepted there, does not mean anything good. This only means he is better than kids who are unable to play at all. If you want him to be really good, compare him to the really good ones. The names of the kids you could follow for comparison: violin: Himari Yoshimura Christian Li Sofia Demetriades Ilva Eygus Daniil Bulaev Daniil Lozakovich Dmitro Udovichenko Margarita Pochebut Korney Sheldunov Natsuho Murata Teo Gertler Sophie Leifer Mark Chia and many others piano: Elisey Mysin, Alexandra Dovgan, Roman Sher, Mikhael Andreas, Fedya Kutuzov, Varvara Kutuzova, Barron Cheng and many others... reading that yours is a "prodigy" makes everyone smile with irony.

Very talented. Far from flawless His talent is not incredible but good enough for him to try to become a good professional musician His skill is very average for a talented child His passion for music is great, where is the classical concerts he needs to attend, full operas and classical ballets that he needs to sit through and listen now? Please, parents, be wise and careful, you have a gifted boy, but there is a long way ahead. Seek support from people who don't charge you money for the advice. my first suggestion is - take your son to listen to a good classical concert by one of the best orchestras of the world, sitting in front stalls, dressed in a suit, keeping quiet listening for 2-3 hours.

this sounds awful and is very harmful to any child with perfect pitch. Basically, my message is to you as parents of a clearly talented kid a: you seem to be leading him down the wrong path. If you want to give him a chance to become a prodigy, you need to change the strategy. I am writing to help, not to criticise. A couple of more years of the same "my kid is a prodigy" attitude of playing primitive simple music out of tune, and he will have NO chance at all.

3 seconds passed before he managed to recognise C... For true perfect pitch, watch "Артем Шило абсолютный слух". A tiny fraction of a second is only needed.

We cut this video to make it shorter, but in the original video she mixed up the notes to confuse him at the beginning
@MishaSkripach
@MishaSkripach 25 күн бұрын
@@JelijahDiaz Kids with perfect pitch can never be confused, for them notes are like colours, people see red straight away and cannot confuse it with green whatever is done. There is some gross overestimation going on, and this is not good for the child. Now, at age 6, can he do all 88 keys random, all octaves, chords? Just for you to know, hundreds of kids can. They are not called prodigies by their parents. As age 6 a talented future musician (not a prodigy) is expected to play a movement from a violin concerto well, proper classical pieces such as Tchaikovsky Album for the youth, all by heart, read music both keys, be able to repeat a melody by ear not looking, etc. For real prodigies, such as Himari Yoshimura, agte 7 is for Mendelssohn concerto. So, when a title of your video screams "prodigy", people lick and are instantly disappointed. Is it good for your son? Not a bit. He has talent, this is obvious. Whether he can work like a prodigy, is still a question. So far a pitch test as shown shows a pseudo-absolute pitch, not real one, this might have already developed into real one. I suppose you would have uploaded a video about it, if so.

@@MishaSkripach In this video, he was still in the process of understanding flats and sharps. While some people are not born with perfect pitch, he had just developed this ability and was still learning the names of the notes. Remarkably, he was only 4 years old at the time. 🤷🏻‍♂ He is a prodigy with an incredible ability to learn quickly. Despite his parents not being musicians and the high cost of music classes, which means he doesn't have the same opportunities as other children on KZfaq who can practice at home and have private lessons every day, he continues to excel. If you want more perfect pitch videos go on his Instagram and Tiktok, we are not as active on KZfaq

@@JelijahDiaz He is NOT a prodigy. He is a talented child who has a chance to develop into a prodigy IF the parents remove rose-tinted glasses regarding his level. I am sorry, we are also not musicians, same obstacles, my child could do far more than yours and he is not a prodigy, and I have no inclination to ever indicate to my child that he is, not to create unhealthy over-confidence, that already is showing in this little boy. He is welcome to practice at home as much as he needs, but would he? Why by age 6 not a single proper piano or violin piece has been performed? I am not sure if youtube lets links, but I can def. offer you a hundred links of many little kids playing at very much more advanced level. I could not find any proof of real good quality perfect pitch in this boy. I can only say that in Moscow alone about 40 kids enter a specialised music school with abilities and skills FAR higher than your son's, they are about 5 y old. Are they all prodigies? No they are not. The definition of prodigy is a child that plays adult advanced repertoir at an early age. Anyway, It is all up to you. You can keep playing the promotion game, or you can learn from the bios of truly successful musicians regarding what to do when a child shows music talent.

Why are you calling a talented child "prodigy"? Well, we will see. But the boy will be feeling really embarrassed when he grows up and learns about all the unfounded publicity. There is a lot of work ahead, the future is not certain at all. Elisey Mysin, a true prodigy, played Nocturne by Chopin at age 5, this boy is not close. Maybe you are right, and the blind promotion of the boy will pay off. But I doubt it. OK, we will sit modest and see if your kid catches up with my "ordinary", "non-prodigy" perfect pitcher. Such self-promotion alienates other kids and their teachers and parents, and they are the future colleagues of your son, self-proclaimed prodigies who did not reach high get laughed at and bitterly regret their "claimed genius".
@MishaSkripach
@MishaSkripach 29 күн бұрын
He is not a prodigy. He is talented, but his learning is well behind of what can be expected for a talented kid. Search Elisey Mysin for piano prodigy as a 5 y old playing Chipin Nocturne and Homari Yoshimura on violin playing Mendelssohn concerto at 7, Alma Deutscher playing Zeitz at 5. What is the point of creating illusions for yourself? Find a good teacher who will put the learning process on a professional path and enjoy.

You gave the tuning arpeggio at the beginning... This is not perfect pitch yet, the boy is delaying the responses, he is comparing. Keep working without the preparation tuning notes, and he will get perfect pitch. Close intervals let relative pitch to do this task.

@@JelijahDiaz He is close to perfect pitch, but kids with perfect pitch answer immediately, in split second, he counts from a note. Did you notice at the beginning she gave him a note? Maybe by now he can do all 88 notes with immediate answers, with chords immediately recognised, with any sounds such as kettle, birds, bells recognised as well? Where is such a video, i could not find it? My child could do all this at 6, but we never called him a prodigy. I think you are a bit misinformed what a prodigy is. Are you sure you understand the level of real prodigies? Alma Deutcher by age 6 played both violin and piano way better then this child. You are doing his a disservice by misrepresenting his "special" position. The level of competition is such that however much you promote him as a "prodigy", he is not, and needs to really catch up is he wants to be close to kids who are "not prodigies". Try a proper international competition, he will not stand a chance at the moment. He needs better teacher and a different structure of practice, first of all all empty praise and all endless social media to be cut down.
