$2000 per month you should be living a pretty nice life style. My advice is just try to change your eating habits and don't try to duplicate the food you eat in the US. Increasing your veggie intake etc. You will probably feel healthier. Very few processed foods here. So if you can stay away from the fried foods you will save and be healthier.. I don't know how you eat but these are my observations of most people relocating from the west. Didn't mean to go on the food tangent.

Visa extension should probably not be a problem. Health insurance really depends on your age and current health. Thanks for the comment.

I really like Mactan Newtown in Cebu, Bamboo Bay was great because of the good central location a short drive to Ayala, Park Mall and many other places. There are some really nice choices near Ayala. These are just the ones that I am familiar with. Thanks so much for the positive comment. Bamboo Bay could be a good choice.

I am telling the truth. There are two hotels. The names are slightly different. One is located on the main road and yes you do need to take the baht bus to get to the beach area from that hotel or you can simply cross the street and walk down the soi. The hotel in the video is Z by Zing and you just walk down the soi to get to the beach. The baht buses don't usually even go down a small soi.

Most people in the West prefer more neutral colors. Off white etcetera. I had a home and I painted several walls with metal in the paint. I had one copper and one silver wall. I loved it because it was really different. But only I loved it. Lol. That's one of the great things about having your own home. You can do whatever you want with the interior.

My experience has been you will pay for 30 days up front. If you decide to leave prior to the end of 30 days you usually will lose that portion of the rent. Whatever you can negotiate up front prior to move in is best. Rates and terms are always changing. This is just my thoughts and I'm not giving any financial advice. I really enjoyed staying at this complex as it was on a main street that had baht buses going by often.

You can walk straight down the soy to the beach. You only need to take the baht bus if you are going to another area. Thanks for the comment

I previously stayed at Bamboo Bay. You could probably stay there for less than 400. I really liked it. Pool and weight room and about a 10 to 15 minute drive to Park Mall or the IT area. Also Mactan Newtown I think You can get a studio there . I was paying around 460 per month plus electric, Internet and water.. Thanks for the comment
