That could technically be a really good drilling ship Move the cockpit back a few blocks and have the drill arm spin Granted it will be painfully slow, but you'll get a lot done

Yeah I need to either make sure the terrain is flat or maybe reduce the amount dropped. I’d prefer the former but the latter is probably best for my laptop.

I built something with a similar aspect ratio called the Cerberus but I put the drills on the end. It was meant to be a mobile base with the ability to print copies of itself. A Von Neumann machine. With guns.

I've made some pretty big ones and the problem I always ran into was this: It takes a ton of material and time to finally craft the miner. 1 mining run gets sooo many materials and I then have no project or ideas to use my infinite metals lol.

Something I do with asteroid eaters: I set up a connector that shoots stuff out with a conveyor sorter that only whitelists stone. Then I put a gravity generator on the ship to repel the stone the ship has dumped out. That way my cargo container and drills aren't getting clogged with that mostly useless stone
