Another reason to use an Aggressive Sentinel planet: If you use a cartographer map to find an Operations Center, there will be a folded up Sentinel Walker guarding it already. When you land, and kill it first, it will count as a kill, then put you at 3 stars and get you a 2nd walker in a single fight. With 5 maps you should be able to get 4 kills in 2 fights. It seems as if the issue with the animals is that animals have 2 genders, which have different stats, but we can only scan one of them. Reloading and getting a scan on the other gender should fix the problem, but many sea creatures do not have physical differences in appearance based on gender so scanning the other gender is a gamble every reload.

Yeah, I actually caught one like that during my recording, but because I did not want to overcomplicate the guide - I just build a Base there and uploaded it for people to find. hehe.

Hey man question cause I am kinda new. This is my first expedition I am doing. I don't start new save I go there with my 30 hour's saved I had. I wanna know if I will be able to go back after I finish the expedition. Also I will keep all the stuff I took from expedition to my previous save? Thx

Hey, First of all, It is always possible to jump back and forth between your expedition and existing save (at the anomaly terminal). Once you complete the expedition or if the time runs out, you will be able to go back to the Anomaly Terminal and switch back to your Existing save. There you will be able to take over a few things back to the existing save. Technology, resources and certain items - You also will be able to copy over the multitool and starship you had when you ended your expedition. I will be working on a more in detail guide explaining expeditions in general... hopefully I can start tomorrow.

You keep your main save, yes. You'll switch back to it when you're done by going back to the Expedition Terminal on the Space Anomaly. You can take one Multi-tool and one Starship back with you to you main save, and approximately (can't recall if numbers are correct here) 10 technology items and 30 inventory items. To take a multi-tool or starship back with you, make sure that tool/ship is the one you have currently equipped when you exit the Expedition at the terminal. Then when you're back on your main save, talk to the terminal again where you can pay nanites to copy the tool or starship, or unpack any items you took.

DO NOT START THIS EXPEDITION. It is extremely buggy. Wait until there's a couple of patches released. It's a quick expedition, you have a lot of time

Hmmm.. the only bugs so far I have come across are the Apex Predator. I assume it depends on what platform you are playing on. Still, If you do not want to risk any of your existing saves, you can start a new expedition without risking corrupted saves.

@@Beeblebum That's good advice. I just don't trust hello Games initial releases. They are ALWAYS buggy, game destroyingly so, but they always fix them. I have more than 1600 hours and have played from the very first release, and this is consistent

So many updates and still doesn't fix the bugging with save loads where my vendores reset. What could be hard about that? If daily quests can have cooldown after load, why don't vendores have it? The fact that I can have whatever I want kills the experience of the game and the need to make any effort at all.

To clarify the issue with the aggressive predator that was referred to in chat. If we start the expedition with an existing save that has a higher scoring predator then it won't pop, even though the expedition hides the wonders. I wiped my original save's wonders to test it. That worked fine. HG will need to patch it or we will need to point players to a maximum aggression predator.

I have tested both with a new and an existing save - The predator milestone did not trigger or even recognize my scan of predators, it just keeps saying N/A. I am also hearing the weird notification sound on loop, the one we had in one of the previous expeditions with the scan flora. Not sure how many of these Expeditions need to be bugged before they stop adding these quests.. lol

You're surrounded by power in the form of ice, And you have all those hydrogen engines set up to auto-start for battery recharge. To hell with those solar panels. If anything, just build more batteries deep underground, run conveyors to all your turrets and then give em hell.

I don't mess with weapons that I have to aim manually on ships anymore. I just use auto targeting weapons. I can concentrate on flying and the weapons will target whichever drone they want.

Decoys are useless. Occasionally they take a hit from a turret but they do not redirect fixed weapons controlled by drones at all. Better to do away with them and keep your ship as light and nimble as possible and work on your grouping and turn vector anticipation. Drones always have an advantage on you because their guns have infinite ammo and as a result are not weighed down by that cargo not to mention the swarming!

I would love Starfield. It looks amazing, but the gameplay is so complicated, and I keep dieing. I'm just not good at this game. I wish I wasn't dieing all the time so I could read the pop-ups and learn to play it. 😕

While the Worlds Part 1 update made some changes to the layout of the menu, not much has changed. Expeditions can be started in 2 ways, either as a New Save or from the Anomaly Terminal with an existing Save - Once a new Expedition releases, I will make an updated guide for it, In the meantime you can get some tips from this older video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r5p3Zbx2yauWkmw.html
