Scuro/Corto, Colombia, Paris/Istanbul, Genova/Ristretto, Volluto. Mainly ties! Top: Colombia as Espresso, Lungo. Most go into milk so most 'Special' taste is lost. However, all better than Illy, Lavazza (except Qualita Oro). Some Starbucks OK, too. I believe that most of (any of) the coffees, if extracted professionally would reflect the Taste description, but the Nespresso extraction method isn't a proper espresso pull. There's always something missing. James Hoffman would say a LOT is missing! I tried real espresso on a Bambino: went through 3 bags of fresh roast at EVERY grind size - every shot was like water! Tried the pods, quite happy! A shot of Monin disguises things anyway! See you on your next video!

Hey 👋 I thought it would be interesting to share 3 pods (1 from each category: espresso, lungo and flavored) that I could drink everyday without getting bored. Here are the 3 pods I chose: 1. Espresso: Paris (intensity 6, roasted), good for hot cappuccinos 2. Lungo: Tokyo (intensity 6, floral), good for big cup cappuccions, and americano with a splash of milk/creamer 3. Flavored: Caramello (intensity 8), this one is so versatile, but I drink it mostly as an iced latte, or lungo with milk PS: I absolutely love dark roast coffee and I am kind of surprised that I chose medium roasts in this top 3.

i see that online advises against distilled water for coffee machines as there is the risk of leeching of metals from the machine into the drink... advise is to use mineral water instead... what say u?
@AlleCeambur2 ай бұрын
Interesting question. I need to do more research into the effects of distilled water on Nespresso coffee. However, from my experience and based on what I have read so far, the best water for this Nespresso machine is "tap water". Mineral water contains various crystals (calcium, sodium, etc.) that over time can cause your machine to be clogged and stop working. I've also had friends who use tap water and their machine has clogged (beyond repair). I guess it all comes down to which country you're from and on the chemical composition of your tap water or mineral water you can find. For example, in many countries, we cannot drink tap water because it's dirty, and not suitable for cooking or drinking. I am curious to read more on this topic, and will do a video once I have an answer supported by research.

@AlleCeambur2 ай бұрын
Ristretto Nespresso is a dark roast, balanced, but very strong and slightly bitter (because it had a blend of Arabica and Robusta), I like it because it’s versatile and I can use it hot, cold and even in iced coffee recipes. The Ristretto from Lavazza is not as complex in flavor and doesn’t hold flavor in iced recipes. Nespresso Roma is also balanced but more mild, 100% arabica and a true medium roast (not bitter). Goes well with milk, but I don’t think is strong enough for iced recipes.
