Daddy Biker, I loved reading your review of the Eliminator. I'm in my mid 70s (age, not mph 😂) and until recently had a Royal Enfield Meteor 350 which I'd downsized to (with some nervousness !) from an Interceptor 650. I found the Meteor a sublime machine to get out in the Hampshire Country lanes on and didn't regret the change. I found the 'bike style (and even the low engine power output) engendered the relaxed riding experience you encountered on the Eliminator SE. Then a catastrophe .... my (relatively) local R/E Dealership ceased trading and there wasn't a practical alternative R/E dealership within a reasonable distance from my home, so for servicing purposes etc I was (very reluctantly) forced to change. I then discovered that I had arthritis developing in my right hip, so finding a mount that had a comfortable seat to footpeg ergonomic was problematic. Last autumn I ended up getting a Triumph Speedtwin 900. Being a 'fair weather' rider in my old age, I didn't get to ride much in the following months but now we are getting some drier days (every now and again !) I can get out for longer rides. However, these longer rides have proved the Speedtwin isn't as comfortable as I thought it would be. As my hip problem will only worsen with time, I decided it would be beneficial financially to make a 'bike change sooner rather than later, when my worsening hip condition discomfort made longer rides too uncomfortable. With little hope of success I started looking to see if anything new had appeared on the market that might emulate the Meteor's riding pleasure. I then discovered the Eliminator (similar I know to the Honda Rebel, but in my previous search I discovered that even sitting on the Rebel and putting my right foot on the footpeg (whilst stationary) caused discomfort !). I arranged a trip to my nearest (albeit 50 miles distant) Kawasaki Dealership and took a test-ride on an Eliminator SE. (not expecting the twin engine to be to my liking, the engine being too 'revvy'). I was amazed at the Eliminator's character. It was immediately comfortable and natural to ride, and my initial launch out was in heavy traffic, so was an immediate test of the 'bikes character with regard to my requirements. What I discovered once I got out on the open road I found that the Eliminator had a Jekell and Hyde character. It was happy to bimble along in residential locations in a high gear or out on A--Roads would come alive once the 6000 rpm mark was reached on the rev-counter. (The only drawback I encountered with my Meteor was that, being as it was electronically limited to 70 mph, any forced motorway type trips were not enjoyable. I'm a firm believer that on the rare occasions I did an M-Way or similar trip I wanted, for safety reasons, to be travelling at least as fast as surrounding traffic and with 'something to spare' and me not be a mobile road-block for 'cagers' on their mobile phones . Not possible on the Meteor, although anecdotal evidence on the Meteor 350 indicates the engine will cruise at max (or near max) speed for hours on end if so required. The Eliminator doesn't suffer this max. speed shortcoming as there is plenty of pull from the engine at 70 mph. I have an Eliminator SE on the way to my local dealership that hopefully will be pdi'd etc and ready for my collection in the first week of June . I'm having the accessory luggage rack fitted, and I've also opted for the 30mm higher seat to be fitted (to make the seat/footpeg ergo even more comfortable, although I didn't encounter discomfort with the standard seat). If the extra height is due to extra padding, even more comfort should be present. Thank you for sharing your 'Eliminator' review experience. Your well constructed review re-inforced my decision to order the Eliminator. I'm only having a total of a little over 14 days wait for my bike-swop, but it seems like a lifetime. Viewing your Eliminator ride was just what I needed during my wait 🤠. (Just for info of other viewers/ potential Eliminator owners, I'm vertically challenged, with just a 29" inseam and arm length proportional to my (almost) 5' 8"compact height 🤔. Safe riding. 🏍💨... ...

Hi just read your message and it’s sounds just like what I’m thinking to do, I’ve had all sorts of big bikes and like you don’t like been on my toes,also got bad knees,I’m riding a Triumph Street twin 900 that I love but it a bit heavy getting it in and out of my garage so going for a test ride on the eliminator I’m hoping it’s as you say hopefully it will do what I like all the,all the best with your hip take care Dave,

Not a criticism, just a observation that i thought may be helpful, because the audio seemed to deteriorate when you moved your head early on in the video, pointing to a loose connection or wire, rather than the quality or cost of the product. When it was working it sounded excellent.@@DaddyBiker_Reviews

@3kdn Yeah there's a bad crackle. I do need to look into that. The 4k camera on the wing mirror is significantly better quality but the battery doesn't last long enough. Will see if the lens can be cleaned on the Drift before I do my next review... thank you. Will ditch the background too for the reviews.

I'm around 1.77mm tall with a 76cm inseam and tried a standard T700 yesterday and felt far more comfortable than I used to in my early 650 Africa Twin so even though this bike is taller you have a longer inseam than I do so should be OK

@DaddyBiker_Reviews
@DaddyBiker_Reviews 2 жыл бұрын
I think you should be alright though. The thing to do is get used to a slightly different way of riding, and stopping. As I discovered towards the end of the ride if you stop, make sure the bike is in 1st gear and then shuffle your weight to the left and then place your left foot flat on the ground, leaving your right on the peg. The pull away is so smooth you can straighten the bike as you pull away by moving your body right, and lifting your left foot back to the peg.

I use the heated grips quite often once the roads dry out after winter , and the for price with the side cases, top box ability and the heated grips with active suspension all come as standard with the tracer GT , add all the manufactures own on the GSX and i bet that's over £1000 on top of a new tracer, i would imagine if they have the time they may look into other manufacturers

There's another thing I've seen people knock on the bike and the 1000 and it being the revamped K5 gixxer engines--- guys what do you think lasts longer--- a newer, stressed parallel twin putting out similar power or a proven bullet proof 4 cyl that's now understressed? lol There's gixxer 750s from the 00s still around with 75k miles on em and that's with the engine being full power. On the GSXS that engine will last 100k and it's smoother than those snatchy twins and 3 cyl. I again like the idea that regular street riders and non professionals can maximize the diff in performance in various 115 hp engines lol.

I own one and am extremely happy with it and I am an experienced rider. This is not a beginners bike-- this bike isn't a litre bike scream machine but it does derive obviously from the GSXR750 and is accordingly very quick. For a solid intermediate and up rider tho this is the perfect all around street bike--- maintenance is low, handles amazing, super smooth engine I mean just cruises at 85 no vibration on the highway and accelerates beautifully w/great sound, super good brakes, nice clutch pull. There's your underpowered R7 right.... then you're insane overpowered modern hypernaked and litre bikes--- this one's just right + it gets compliments everywhere because it looks cool. I'd also say GSXS1000 is a good buy if you must have more power, but as an experienced rider that rides quite spirited in the CA twisty roads I can tell you that you won't need much more power than the 750 to have fun. Only place you'd use the 1000 extra power is on hard highway pulls and the track and most of you likely don't even have the skill to really maximize it. But, the 1000 is a good bike too.

Definitely need a liter bike as my second bike. My sfv650 sucks on highway pulls. It’s great in and around town however once on the highway it’s a dog trying to pass people since everyone is going 85-95mph.
