When out and about, have a good look at what an outside chair actually needs to do! The ads show bowling green flat surfaces, the urban environment isn't like that. I have a 2nd hand off road chair that just copes with the urban environment. £20k new!!! I had some wonderful friends that fund raised and a good relationship with the MD of the chair importers. Denmark and Finland, outside/off road chairs are FREE!!!!!!!! on prescription. The motobility scheme means that you can get a brand new Mini Cooper, or at least a Mini one with no deposit, a car to put a decent outside chair in is around £6-20k!! That's on top of the fekkin cost of the chair and you have to find it every 3-5 years..

i've heard so many people say "most disabled people don't need their wheelchairs they're fakers" i've given up; all the disabled people who were failed for PIP said to me "they've got the wrong one, it's the other ones, i'm real" nobody said "they're persecuting us"... i really, really, give up

i worked in care for a few years and got to the point that i believed society is nazi, it's deliberately designed to exclude disabled people - i put my back out lifting wheelchairs up and down curbs. I noticed that it was called "The People's Post Office" only after it was sold off..... i campaigned against Section 75 and nobody cared 'they'd never privatise the NHS' everyone said and turned away, i've given up. There's a campaign to make Virgin Care etc wear their own badge....
