I keep seeing these numbers about parlays and am skeptical about this winning percentage. #1 - not every sports pick is 50/50. If I parlay 2 teams or people with a probability of 75% to win, that’s a bigger chance to win than 27%. Now if you’re putting two teams or totals with a 50% probability to win, sure I’ll agree with this video. Because I’ve been taking heavy favorites, parlaying them together to get to even money, usually about 3 - and I cash a hell of a lot more than 14%.

Great post to show how serious betting works , but I do think the price does matter . I don’t bet on sports , I’m a horse handicapper in the UK. I bet on horses to place ( think you call it “to show” ) , it’s took me many years to get a successful system,and many losing ones. My strike rate is now consistently 69% , avg odds -122 But my win rate odds you be -225 so I have a big edge but is I was backing odds of -225 there no value for me , anything better than that price is a bet for me , so the price is important. I don’t know if you have betting peer to peer betting exchanges like n the US? But they are a game changer for pro bettors , no closed accounts , just pay your 2% commission on winning bets , as long as there enough liquidity in the market can get as much on as you like .

For as far back as I can track (since 2001) to about 2017 there was a system or strategy or whatever you want to call it Windy City Unders, it won a lot, 62% over a 10yr sample size, it was simple, bet the Under when the wind is blowing in at Wrigley Field, eventually the sports books started listing the totals very low (7/6.5) in games when the wind was blowing in at Wrigley. But for awhile they just didnt adjust the total down enough and you could make money just blindly betting Unders at Wrigley, but eventually it came to end. During covid some park changes took place in Wrigley, small changes, they changed some seating areas, expanded some billboards in right center and added to some screens in the outfield. When you bet for a living, not like this guy in the video above, Im talking about betting for real. You are always looking for any edge you can get. So when a stadium undergoes any type of change, even the smallest change I want to see if it will have any impact on how the games play out on the field. Well these changes made at Wrigley were immediately obvious, the addition to the billboards and expansion of these screens in the outfield stopped the wind from howling into the stadium from right center. So prior to this betting the under when wind was blowing in was a strong angle, before the books started adjusting for this. Now the wind blowing in wasnt a factor but the oddsmakers were still listing the totals as if it was. Overs were now starting to win and continued to win until it became well known that the outfield stadium changes impacted the wind, once again, oddsmakers adjusted for this and just like that the edge was gone. Whats my point of this story? When you have an edge, it doesnt last forever. I didnt watch the above video but the title of 100K a year betting strategy is just so ridiculous, first off because if you had a winning strategy you wouldnt want others to know, second of all it wouldnt last long enough for it to work year after year. Thats not how betting goes. I get it though, this guy is a marketer, he spends money to advertise and makes money off other bettors, actually betting sports is secondary for cappers like this.
