Thank you for your question. As OS1 and OS2 are "Cabled" standards the glass used could be G652d, G657.A1 or G657.A2 (in the main) for Singlemode cable whether it is OS1 or OS2. G657.A2 is backwards compatible to both G657.A1 and G652d glasses. G657.A1 and G657.A2 are now more common as the market moves more and more to Bend Insensitive cabling as they will allow you to bend the fibre more tightly (G657.A1 is 10mm and G657.A2 is 7.5mm Bend Radius). So the answer to your question is more about making sure that your glasses are compatible with each other, but you can use a G652d pigtail on a G657.A2 glass that sits inside an OS1 or OS2 cable. @@AndcorpAuFibreOpticProducts great answer and you are right , I think its possible to splice all SM together but the losses will be differences and always recommend to splice from same manufactory ، but already I have seen some of them sell patch cord and labe say is OS2 but I think all patch cords is OS1
