Hello I’m unsure if you remember be but I was a 6th grade student last year but sadly I father had retired so I am no longer in dodea but I just wanted to say I much I really appreciated you all of Wiesbaden Middle school it made me so happy to have such wonderful teachers I hope that the new librarian it’s nice and I wish her lots of luck this is an amazing school the teaching was great the school was well clean huge thanks to the sweet janitors there I hope they can keep up the great work. I really do miss Mr.Crowe I loved being one of his fluties I miss Mr. Rubio he was my favorite don’t tell the others, there was also Mrs holland, Mrs. Trujillo, etc they were amazing teachers I miss them all so much, thank you all for letting my last year there an amazing one also tell mis Holland that I now have an A in ELA I did struggle last year in her class also in a few others but because they were great teachers in honor of them I’m now a strait A student I owe my life to them I’m just so glad that I got to experience this wonderful school fully of amazing things I miss you all so much thank you for having me there. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😔❤️❤️❤️ PS Your former 6th grader Abigail Dodard

Thanks for the great report 🥰❤👍 and an inside view from the US Army 🇺🇸 in Wiesbaden. It was interesting to see that there is even a soccer ⚽️ division at the Army.

Kind of glossed over the entire history of the 56th FA Pershing. I guess it is verboten now to say the army had nukes? We gave peace a chance. There is a reason why the 56th has a Army Superior Service award, one of the first awarded. Pershing!

Can a retiree from stateside use the food court? I know we can use the PX but have to pay the VAT before leaving the country (which is ridiculous). Still remember when the old PX was open and the only things in the food court were popeyes, burger bar, Robin Hood and the pizza kiosk. That and the "power zone" was still at the PX down by the laundromat. 94-97 McCully 5/3 ADA

In 94 it was called "head start", new soldiers and their familys would spend a day in Mainz geting to know the way to get around and a little bit of language skills. My 2nd tour at McCully 99-03 the program was very much smaller then in 94.

Thank you for sharing. "Head Start" sounds like a good name for program. Every once in while, they take Soldiers and families on a trip through Mainz.

@@AFNWiesbaden The 2 times I was in-processing at Wiesbaden (94 and 99) Mainz was the town we did the "tour" in. We all meet at the Mainz HBHon my 2nd tour, the 1st we meet at the welcome center entry way, took the small green Mercedes military bus to Mainz Kastel where we then walked to the civilian bus stop across the road to catch the bus to Mainz. Good times....

@@AFNWiesbaden We use to do our platoon STXs at the dunes prior to heading to Hoenfelts. Was always a big thing when we drove or Bradley's (M2A2) from McCully to the dunes.
