I used that calorimeter, and I have been getting an average of 5.45 J/gC for water. I don't know what am I doing wrong? I should be getting close to 4.2 J/gC

This is a nice set up and the stand in a must. I feel like any filter set up really needs a stand just in case though. I really like this set up though I've bought two and my last one is about 2 years old and still working great and the first one I wasn't so nice to but it didn't break until I back handed the whole thing off my table because I wasn't using a stand. I probably could have saved the set up but not the product if I did use a stand at that time. Highly recommend having this in your filtering products.

What if I only need one size for multiple Bushner funnels that are the same size. It is almost impossible to buy them individually.

It looks like a wonderful kit on color Theory, and can be used up to College level when students learn about the Plank constant. I loved how you derived it ! I have 2 questions : 1. Can we also adjust the intensity of each LED thus producing the shades on the color chart ? That would be great ! 2. When measuring the voltage obtained from different LEDs shining on the solar cells, one would expect an increasing voltage with decreasing wavelengths(increasing frequency and Energy). That was a bit hard to observe because the voltage readings were just going up and down. Yet, looking carefully, I believe I read a value of .93 for Red up to 1.13 for purple. Is that right ? Thank you

IT IS SHOCKING THAT YOU WOULD USE AN ELECTRO MAGNET TO KEEP THE PENDULUM SWINGING , A CONSTANT FORCE SPRING OR A WEIGHT WOULD BE FAR MORE SCIENTIFIC AND GIVE SOME CREDIBILITY TO RESULTS
@pianetaerrante96 Жыл бұрын
It is shocking that you dont understand that a centred electromagnet keep the pendulum swinging without affecting its direction and that's exactly the point. A constant force spring would put a preferred swinging direction, which deny the meaning of the experiment. For the "weight" i dont understand what do you mean, there is obviously a weight, but still the pendulum will stop cause air friction without the intervention of the electromagnet.

I have a kit like this but there isn't a book to really go in depth about electricity and magnetism. Can you recommend a beginners book of some type to match the components of this kit? Thanks.

Thanks for your question. There are plenty of great reading materials on the topic, spanning all levels of expertise. We recommend checking out this list: goodreads.com/shelf/show/electromagnetism. We also enjoy the educational videos on the SciShow KZfaq channel. Here's their introduction to electromagnetism: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/md9mnsWSmKecpo0.html. Happy learning!

Which is better HDPE or Pp blow bottles for reagents
@UnitedScientific3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. Selecting the right material depends on several factors, including the reagent(s) you plan to use, the temperature required, and whether you plan to autoclave your bottles. Please feel free to reach out to us at info [at] unitedscientific.com so we can get a better sense of your needs.
