Great video! Much of SE Montana is Grizzly Bear country, but the Taylor Fork area specifically is used for relocating potential problem bears near West Yellowstone and other surrounding areas. It is also extremely remote. Chances of an attack are very low, but for anyone wanting to replicate this video, be aware that it is not the same as hiking in Colorado, Utah, or even other parts of Montana and Wyoming.

I spoke too soon before realizing you hiked in Big Sky. For anyone wondering, Beehive Basin is also Griz country, but it is north of Big Sky and not in the Taylor Fork region. It is also a much busier trail than anything in TF. Still need to be aware and have spray.

The perfect way to enjoy the weekend…..cooking tip…slice up the chicken, cook in fry pan, set in an extra container/bowl when done. Same fry pan, cook potatoes and veg (broccoli, string bean,) together in pan, add cooked chicken when they are cooked, serve in a bowl. This is one pan meal, easy clean up…..add butter and seasoning that you prefer…

Those dogs look SO happy hiking. The tan-color dog’s fur looks fairly long; I wonder if that could cause overheating in the desert for him/her.
