Bought 4 studs at two different places same result. I was using handle part of crescent wrench for a spacer going to try stud installer tool tomorrow

I'm pretty sure you can change it to psi. At least my 3.0 can. If you swipe over when you're on that screen where those blue half circles are on each side of the screen you can go to the settings also in the area you set up shop info and change your settings metric standard and I think there's two other choices one may be both

the two seal direction.. did you put inner seal (black one) facing inward towards the engine and the yellow seal facing towards outside?? or both facing outside?? Thank you

I know this is a long time ago. Maybe you still check these messages. What 2 bolts on each side in the rear of the subframe do you remove? Then I see you just loosened the front bolt on each side. Then unbolt both engine mounts. When do you actually lift the engine? Or just put some lifting tension while you unbolt the bolts, then lift it up about 4 inches?

This is mad! GM designed it that way to make it so difficult you had to take the car to the shop and pay the inflated labor cost. For something as simple as replacing a $20 gasket you'll end up paying the cost of a transmission rebuild if you let a shop do the work so the only way around that is to do it yourself or have a skilled friend who will do it for a reasonable fee. It sucks because my oil pan is leaking and it's annoying dealing the oil drops hitting the exhaust parts creating smoke that leaks from under the hood when I'm idling at red lights. Also, the pain of dumping quarts in the engine frequently so it doesn't run dry.

I attempted to change my oil pan gasket years ago and failed with my 2002 camaro ss. Did not think it was going to be complicated. So what I ended up doing was I put silicone on my finger and added to the edges of the pan all around then closed her up. Well what do you know, it worked. I had no leaks after that. I just recently bought another camaro and will be doing the same.
