Great vid. i have done the same with my gen 10 Honda civic and replaced all the chrome badges with shinny black. It looks so much better. a lot of car manufacturers are doing this as standard now ( i think Audi and Volkswagen as well as land rover) its a pity a "black package" isn't an optional extra at a dealership when you either buy the car ( new or seconhand)or buy the package from the parts department. It would stop the flood of aftermarket nock offs on Ebay.
@JackofAllCarbinc3 күн бұрын
Also toyota...most emblems now standard black, I know i could have ordered it black and had dealer install but their mark up was crazy. I did next best thing and bought the genuine H Logos from local dealer and did myself ...I think it even comes out better since i took my time and made sure not to damage paint or anything around it compared to a honda mechanic who just wants to get to the next job. Anyway thank you for the comment.

This worked great but. Thankfully I didn’t have to take the wheel well cover off. I just removed a few of the screws and peeled it back enough to reach the pump. Removing the entire wheel well cover would have been quite challenging as the screws are VERY hard to reach.

correct, as explained in video i only removed the full cover to get a better video and view for people but all that is needed is just to loosen a few clips enough to get in there, Glad it helped.

It was the dealer I had previously serviced car and they had my vehicle on record showing it was under my name......Its not easy but its doable.....I had to convince them i could not get my car towed and needed code so i can take to them to repair. @JackofAllCarbincАй бұрын
Yep, I liked this dealer .....I paid 1000 less than msrp (most dealers wanted msrp plus all their add ons) including wheel locks mud flaps and no mark up. Dan the finance guy was really cool to, did not really try and force any extras(warranties/extra coverages/window etch blah blah )so final price out the door was 1000 minus msrp plus mandatory state fees. Only other dealer that compares would probably be the cerritos honda since they are the #1 on west coast so they want volume and can also get good deal their. @JackofAllCarbincАй бұрын
@@brittanyjeffrandolph7497 lol I kinda thought you were talking about that or was someone trolling but the answer to that is absolutely not. The brake code is not really known to 99 percent of people. Believe it or not some Honda techs had no idea what i was talking about when i called the dealer but the older guys /managers know exactly what that is. Every honda and acura had these codes which allows honda to bypass the immobilizer for reasons like failure or back then if car payments were not made the dealer can repo the car without the need of a key. Of course that code will not be given to just anyone, you MUST prove that you are the legal owner of vehicle and have no debt on car. Radio code is completely diferent that only will unlock the access to your radio.

That's great to know that it charges this way cycling to keep the heat down is perfect for 99% of the time. Fast charging is terrible for batteries and when you're paying $500+ per battery this thing is perfect. I may have to pick one up because my Z6 charges them to fast for longevity. @JackofAllCarbinc2 ай бұрын
if you have the green light and its a new battery ...issue is the immobilizer, First get that resolved then you can take your battery to get recharged, I had same issue since the car kept cranking and not powering on it drained my battery since car never turned on when the issue started and didnt allow the alternator to recharge battery. It can be a possibility that the alternator also went out but if it was me I would ......jump the car or get recharged then fix immobilizer if green light goes off but battery still dies then its either a bad battery or alternator.

After reading the comments, I waited to post my response until I actually went through the entire process. Found the replacement part (not OEM but made in CHINA) for less then $10 on AMAZON. As a prime member, received the part in 2 days. Looks identical to the KIA part without the KIA markings. Followed the directions in the video precisely. I used the original grommet without trying the one that was included in with the replacement pump. Always a slight learning curve when you first do something like this, but really didn't take me too long and results are great! KUDOS to JACK OF ALL
