Cool video Pete! About a year ago I replaced my side steps on my Colorado. The GM foot steps were made of plastic and the seam was ripping. I replaced it with all steel ones. I'm thinking about taking them off and spraying bed liner on them. Reason being I got my truck washed, and they Armor All my steps and damn near slipped off when I was climbing in my truck LOL! You think I should do the bed liner thing?

Them bad boys look jam up! It makes all the world of difference and gives the truck a good sturdy look. I highly recommend the 2” shackles for lowering the rear. Back in 2005 I bought a brand new Nissan Titan and I went with the shackles and once I installed them, I couldn’t tell a difference from factory ride quality vs lowered because it still allowed the rear shocks to do their job.

Both of my FOBs don’t work as of this morning, any ideas? Nothing has changed. I did replace FOB battery, but that has been awhile. They are original keys, bought car as CPO, so it already had the keys cut. Fobs have some wear, but I’ve seen way worse(just looks like a used key FOB). Does the receiver use a fuse? Maybe that’s blown?

Nice truck. Bet you’re gonna miss the 5th Gen camaro. I’m currently shopping for 5th Gen Camaro to replace my 2013 camaro that was totaled in Jan. It’s funny you mentioned the rear windows regulator in the Tahoe because the rear regulator in my 2001 Tahoe went out on the driver side a month after I got it I replaced it my self.

Well on my 2013 Camaro I bought a fob off eBay brand new had the key cut a brought it home programmed it in my driveway cost me 35 bucks. Everything worked remote start keyless entry

I had a similar experience with a Ford dealership, full intention to buy a vehicle and not one person came near after asking a few times. So went elsewhere and bought one. Not sure why this happens but they must be doing well enough they didn't need my money. Heard others say the same thing about that dealership as well though.

Yeah, I did 20 years dealing in the used car world. The key is pushing paperwork, manipulation, and making you wait. They make you wait so you will get tired and give in to whatever shady deal they have laid out for you. And believe me when I say they're not afraid to ask any price or any bad deal for the customer. I've been in the room with managers who said and did some pretty sorry things to potential customers. They really have no shame. I'm just glad I worked in wholesale and never did my customers that way. Even though we mostly sold to other dealers, we did do cash deals with the public and we always treated them right. These dealships really cause a lot of damage to the industry.

I have a Camaro right now with an lt1 that needs head work and they want $5k + just to try and get the engine working. $3k just to examine it. It’s cylinder 7. The concern was too that they “could” find further damage to the cylinder heads too. The other option was $11k for a new engine 😂…

Camarotime! It’s great to see you still posting videos. This video really touches home because I find myself noticing the same things. Customer service is nearly non existent and so many workers have no enthusiasm what so ever. I’m not asking for them to do a hand stand but I walk into so many places where you feel like you’re wrong as the customer to even walk in. I see a lot of dysfunction in these businesses too and what’s crazier is that some of these companies will willingly eat the cost. Secondly I see numbers becoming completely meaningless. Prices are at least twenty five percent more than what they were pre pandemic and everyone’s out trying to make a profit without even knowing why things should be justified at the price they are selling things or performing services for. To me a perfect example would be the storage bins for college students and these companies must know they have the parents by the 🏀’s. To see them charge what they do for plastic products most likely made by slave labor is insane.
