I read an article in Inside Kung Fu about Louis and his training. I wish I still had the magazine. I remember him talking about how “electric” he felt in an “invincible” way.

This is a very good drill, BUT to become proficient you must drill it over and over until it becomes muscle memory(little or no thinking). A seminar alone is not going to do it. This drill is a great compliment to other Cadena de Mano(Chain of hands) drills that teach a practitioner to FIRST gain control of the arm holding the weapon. A knife can be elusive in an attack and the angle can easily change direction, so it is helpful to be aware of that and be prepared. And, an attacker is not necessarily going to leave his weapon out there and allow it to be taken away. Once control is achieved through Cadena de Mano type drills, then a disarm using one, or more, of these methods is much more likely to be successful. I hope you know what I'm referring to and that this makes sense. That said, these are very good knife fighting disarming techniques to know and this is a great drill. Thanks for putting this video out there!!!

Ron is one of my all time favorite seminar instructors and that’s a short list. A definite must see if you ever have the opportunity to take in a seminar.

DId you see the "Ultimate Self Defense Championship" from the Martial Arts Journey? There will be a season 2 with a shaolin monk, you think you could show this in pressure testing? There is a link with a co-star role below the video "Martial Arts Experts Go All Out in Intense 20-Second Fights"

Ron was an arrogant @sshole in Chicago when I met him. He couldn’t fight as an Apprentice and his first attempt at his Muay Thai Instructorship was an embarrassment. He was an arrogant butthole to me. Ron, you know darn well how you pooped on Sifu Larry Hartsell after Guro brought you to Cali, and even lived with Sifu Larry. Sifu Larry did not go to your wedding and even had to call Diana and apologize, because he hated you. It is disrespectful to try and date the Sifu’s daughter. Sifu Larry anyways thought you were an opportunist by Going After Diana. I’m ready to fight you any day because of what you did and how you treated Sifu Larry. Message me, pussy. Ron, I am almost 54. The best way I would say for my opinion is to stun your opponent and then do your gripping around the hands of your oppoents that held the knife with that hand with your hands. You’ll have to find an execution either with putting pressure onto the hand, or end him with a strike on the neck. Pretty sure he’ll let go of that knife
