And Kite is gone...😂😂😂 I would never detach the leash from the bar. Don't do it...
@ewatersports

Then we would suggest you to return to the beach and land your kite. for instructors this is a qualification for the job. If they cant do it, then they will have to train in order to be hired. Many students invert their kites many times in one session. Very odd, some will never. But if a instructor needs to come all the way back to the beach to untangle, then the student will surely lose time and money.

@@ewatersports Don't worry, i've been working as a kite instructor for years and know how to do it. You need to point out that this is not for beginners. Especially while you perform this in very light wind. What's happening? The beginner watches your video and thinks it's quite easy to do and tries this next time on the water, maybe in more wind. One wrong move, the Kite starts looping and because the kiter is not attached to the bar anymore, the kite goes downwind....where it can hurt people etc.
@ewatersports
@ewatersports 22 сағат бұрын
@@marcelkrownmotorworks9842 We will add to the description to make sure to look into our full length video. At some point the common sense needs to be utilized. Additionally as an instructor you'll go through a stage of realization that by not letting your student do it themselves that you're actually holding them back. Launching landing, bar line management and more. Yes we could over state the complexity of every situation and scenario but that is impossible. But yes every scenario that is presented by an instructor that does not want to teach a certain way, ends with "it can hurt people". Sure this is a valid point but the direction of the conversation and theme of this channel is more dedicated to bringing the community together. Washing out the haters and quick bias responses and promoting the ones that want to bring forward their experience. Like "in this video it is a short and fast way to learn how to bar juggle but misses many intricate details but I'd suggest making sure no one is downwind, and you have other kiters around to catch the kite if you were to let go. Maybe trying in lite wind would help lessen the tension on lines, making it easier and possibly less dramatic if you mess up." That would be a response from a well seasoned multiple year instructor. I hope my response to you is well received and I want nothing more than to change the process of thinking on the beach and online. In the end its to better the community and yes make it safer. We love you! keep shredding.

Too bad it costs as much as a full-blown e-foil, which includes a carbon fiber board and the foil itself.
@ewatersports
@ewatersports 22 сағат бұрын
No quite the same at all. Th epoint of the foil drive is not to be like an efoil. its to use the best tech out there, lightest boards and foils, to grab waves that are impossible to catch with a efoil. Sure it is not cheap. But it is not to be sat next to an efoil and compared. Its litterally the coolest thing we sell if you are into surf, wind, or watersports above SUP flatwater.

Would you be kind to clarify .. riding 1/2 wind and jhook with speed into 45” to wind or ride 45” into wind and jhook into 90”?
@ewatersports
@ewatersports 2 күн бұрын
Not so sure what you are saying but its not so much an exact degree. It's more of creating the the most speed while holding the max angle up wind, a Jhook is a j hook. or edging hard and away from your kite

I also suggest depowering the kite when launching to additionally prevent back stall and from being overpowered during the launch
@ewatersports
@ewatersports 2 күн бұрын
With the highest regards to scenario bases we do not recommend depowering your kite unless you are towards the top side of that kites wind range. Depowering your kite will add more problems with the disconnected feeling you may receive with back lines slackened. We do suggest having a properly tuned bar and in which case would cause you to have full control in light winds.

Thanks, looks fun🎉. A) How well powered is the kite … like good power with boom 1/2 way? B) How do you make shure, that board dont stick to the botton, when making standing starts?
@ewatersports
@ewatersports 7 күн бұрын
Here are shallow water starts kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rtlobJl-ybnegWg.html. The boom=bar placement is based on how much wind and size of kite and size of board and size of rider. Bigger board= less power needed. Bigger rider = more power needed. Small kite, less wind= more aggressive flying. Big kite more power = cautious flying of kite. It's a feeling that starts with knowing what to expect from your equipment and abilities.

I've only been around other kitesurfers twice and I found that they help everyone else land and launch their kites but nobody knew how or could self land or launch but me! Its nice that they help but then they don't learn.. I can hot launch, reverse launch and self land all with ease.. but it's because I had to learn myself. I do wish there was more that kitesurfed around here but I guess I gotta drive down somewhere..

This is not the process I follow. Seems a bit too risky. I always connect up the lines double and triple check to make sure they're in the right position then wrap up on the bar until 1 1/2 length of kite from leading edge to trailing. Then hold on to leading edge and especially if I need to swim connect my safety leash to the leading edge of the kite. While I'm walking out I'll unravel the lines from the bar while still connected to the kite. Very important here that you make sure your lines don't get caught on the kite and bundle up as you're letting them out. Then I switch my safety leash to the depower of the kite while holding onto the middle leading edge. Finally, to release the kite I hold onto whichever outside line for the direction I want the kite to drift. I let it drift halfway the length of the lines then let go of the lines completely and grab the bar while it drifts the rest of the way to the end of the lines. I would never recommend keeping the lines on the bar while powering up. A gust of wind pops up and that isn't going to be a fun ride. Plus you won't be able to activate depower. With the lines off the bar I'm anticipating if I need to activate saftey line and fully depower to do a recovery. That close to the shore you want as fast as possible access to the depower once you release the kite to the wind.

Good tips thank you ! I specially notice your advice to move slightly upwind just when initiating the feet switch, first time I read it. I always switch stance being broad reach when out of a jibe and toe side, and that's too unstable to be reliable, so I'll try your tip. Besides, that would be helpful if you were to post a tuto on how to ride toe side, my main issue is not being able to ride close to the wind for long because I end up the nose facing the wind, so that's why I ride broad reach when toe side out of a jibe. I must add that I sail always with sea waves.

I have hard time to maintain the kite at 45 degree while controlling the speed.
@ewatersports
@ewatersports Ай бұрын
most likely its because you are not riding with one hand(back Hand) and also shifting the hand to the middle part of the bar. Go out and practice one handed body drags upwind... l, fully sheeted in and maintaining 1:30 or 10:30. Like a board retrieval but powered up, Angling body into the breeze. If you cant do it while body dragging you cant do it while riding.

@ewatersports
@ewatersports Ай бұрын
We would have to say that possibly you are on too small of a kite. Or you are extremely good at edging and your kite is being pulled up closer to the edge of the wind window. Try flatting the board a bit and turning the nose of the board into the breeze utilizing the fins more than the edge or just equaling the two
