Dear Ann, beautiful video. We will sail from Antwerp to Hiva Oa , with the restored boat of Jacques Brel , famous singer in the years 60/70, within a few years. What island did you arrive , and did visit all 6 of them ?

In my thirties, after two bottles of wine, i heard Jacques Brel for the first time. I immediately dropped $200 on his entire collection, downloaded that night. I listened with my friend and laughed and cried through all the songs. My own band was a locally popular cowboy punk goofball affair. I don't even speak French and I certainly didn't have extra money, but I've never regretted my Jacques Brel, man. I still crank it up sometimes.

Have a squeeze bottle with vodka or whiskey in it. Even 20%. Put a squeeze into the fish's gills and it will calm down and die quickly. I think that is more humane that clobbering them. Good catches though!

Thanks so much, we’ve tried very strong run in a spray bottle but it didn’t have any effect. -will try a squeeze bottle next.

No berries to pick or tubers to dig up in the middle of the ocean. Sailors of old used to pick up Galapagos tortoises, flip them on their backs on deck of their ships... and slaughter them for fresh meat months later. I think THAT is cruel!
