Do I get the ready to use sheets if I buy the course ?
@soundjourneystore
@soundjourneystore 4 минут бұрын
Better than bing given sheets and being told what to play, I teach you how to create your own so that as you add new bowls to your set, you will fully understand how to use your different bowls with each other to create stunning sound journeys. It is a very easy to follow, step by step process that you can do with no music training at all.

Which bunny tail mallet did you use to play the metal bowls?
@soundjourneystore
@soundjourneystore 8 күн бұрын
I usually use the blue bunny tail mallet for the metal bowls. It is a bit harder and gives a brighter tone while still being soft. soundjourneystore.com/collections/himalayan-tibetan-singing-bowl-accessories/products/bunny-tail-mallet?variant=40483151544409

Does this hz promote bone healing? Have a friend with a broken ankle I saw the internet say 50 hz is best frequency for healing bones? What do you think is best instrument to achieve this I could buy? Thank you!!:)
@soundjourneystore
@soundjourneystore 14 күн бұрын
Hi, I am sorry but I do not buy into specific frequencies for healing. We are hearing all these different frequencies all the time. If a specific hz healed us, then we would all be healed and healthy. I think frequencies is more of a marketing ploy to get people to buy things. Releasing stress can promote healing, so I suggest just find an instrument or sound that helps them destress so that healing can be improved. I am sorry this is not the information you are looking for.

Wow 🤯🤩 what stone are the purple and orange bowls?
@soundjourneystore
@soundjourneystore 25 күн бұрын
The orange is marketed as Citrine and purple as Amethyst. But the truth is almost all gemstones lose their colour when ground into powder and then heated, so the colour is a pigment added to make it look beautiful.

Is there any way to reduce the "scratchy" sound heard when playing the rim of frosted bowls? To me it's extremely irritating (akin to nails on a chalkboard) but I otherwise love the durability and volume of frosted bowls. Any tips would be great!
@soundjourneystore
@soundjourneystore Ай бұрын
Yes, the silicone wand is much quieter. Cell phones amplify the sound, like in this video. It is quieter in real life. Also, with the bowls we sell, Ivan takes the bowls into his workshop and sands the edges of the bowl to make them even quieter.

Sorry for the late reply. We were on vacation and went unplugged for a bit. Glad you like the video. If you are trying to add to a gong you have, you really need to just listen, or call me and have me offer suggestions. Each gong is unique and brings a special sound to your set. There is no one size that will blend better than another. Just different, if that makes sense. It all depends on what notes you have and what overtones are in the gongs. I would be happy to help out if you give us a call. OR just play your gong with other to see what blend you like best. soundjourneystore.com/collections/all-gongs

The middle bowl was the winner for me. It sounded brighter and seemed to make the other two bowls sound brighter too. When you are measuring the note of the bowl, what is the reasoning behind using the peak with lowest frequency as opposed to the largest peak?

You need to use a spectrum analyzer rather than a tuner. There are so many notes. We have an android phone and use the app Spectroid. Then I take the lowest number and convert it to a musical note with their website. www.phys.unsw.edu.au/music/note/

Thank you for sharing! How can you tell if someone is selling just a glass bowl instead of a crystal bowl.
@soundjourneystore
@soundjourneystore 2 ай бұрын
Glass is made from about 80% quartz crystal silica sand and then other sands. Crystal singing bowls are just quartz crystal silica sand. That is why some wine glassing sing with a wet finger on the rim and others don't. If the bowl sings you know it is a singing bowl

@soundjourneystore
@soundjourneystore Ай бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, I just noticed you left this comment. The basic 7 is just a marketing ploy to package singing bowls in easy to choose sets, made up in the 1970's. There are 23 notes to choose from, not just 7 notes. Notes do not correlate with chakras. If they did, all elementary school children, their music teachers and anyone listening to them play would be chakra aligned since those are the notes they always play. However, if you do want that 7 note set that you read and hear about, you can hear it here. soundjourneystore.com/apps/bundles/bundle/76658
