5:40 In the Iberian Peninsula wine rarely got pass the 7º mark in terms of alcohol content. It was like the perfect spot for antiseptic capabilities and liver damage. That style is called "adamado" now.

merlot and i just bought this for the first time and it made for an excellent wine to cook into my spaghetti sauce tonight and drink as I enjoyed the mild taste and mellow flavors assisting in my cooking as the sauce was a simple yet delicious staple dinner delight

whats sustainanable is mechanical machined mon fuel driven and manual. but that would mean we can only buy 1/10th or less of what we buy now. In the end its very simple. what is sustainable is what you dont buy, or are able to produce in your own backyard ( leaving enough land for all others to do the same)

Im thinking of buying a 100 dollar merlot and a 20 dollar merlot to conpare taste. But question, would this wine tatse like "prison wine" or pruno? I dont like that. And can barely stand stella rosa

I have a small homestead just a little south of Cadillac in Michigan. I have a total of 58 vines, but only 16 of them are old enough to produce for me. My oldest vines that are producing for me are: Verona, Petite Pearl, Marquette, La Crescent, and Itasca. My wines still aren't top tier yet, but I'm having fun learning!

(Yes! 🫴 Reason #96) When my mum Died at age 96. I drank 3 bottles of Malbec & Cried like a Waterfall 👁️👁️💦💦💦 Not in One sitting, On 3 different Nights. And Because Viticulture IS Art Practice and Because my Mum had Iberian DNA, IT felt like Argentinians were giving me a Virtual Hug. Derived From their Artful toil in planting Vines, Caring to Nurture them & Harvesting the Fruitful Bounty as Tasty grapes + Science = Yummy Wine with Earthy Soul + a Label to cajole me with Aesthetics. Rather than taking a sedative made in a factory called Sleepalot® or Shutup® or DontWorry® to mask my Pain. I Embraced IT and 👁️👁️💦💦💦 Cathartically because the Beauty of ANY Art Practice is what binds us Together in Universal harmony. 🍷🍷🍷

Here again. So, I have had a long respite from wine. Recently I decided, Hell why not open that red thats been beside my desk for so long. After having a few glasses, I felt extremely relaxed and at peace; even when I returned to work, I had less worry and was more social. I slept so good and although we shouldn't depend on a substance, if taken in moderation, I think its extremely advantages, especially given everything this man has revealed and from my own experience. We are all going to die one day, so don't deprive yourself from wine if you feel you could do with a companion now and then. Thanks for the video and to all those reading this, I wish you well.

Excellent video, in today’s economic environment, wine collecting can seem like a hobby only available to the very wealthy, but it doesn’t have to be! Another excellent ageable wine I didn’t see on this list is Montefalco Sagrantino from Italy. HUGE tannins, acid, and concentration, it can age for decades with ease and since it’s a fairly unknown wine, top quality examples of this wine are usually $30-50, with many bottles under that range too.

I enjoy Rezabal Txakoli and their Rose! I had no idea it’s ageable, so thanks for the info!

The 23 is misleading... there's some old barrels but a lot of young Rum. The XO is very nice. I prefer something like Rhum Barbancourt 15 but I've been drinking Rum for 35 years. Cheers.

I had the opportunity to meet Kalash the Master Distiller recently, he offered me a taste of a 3 barrel Bourbon and then a taste of the Single barrel Bourbon. I generally have Woodford Reserve and told him that. He had a quiet but satisfying grin when I told him it was great would take bottle. He offered to sign it & did. Only after I got home did I realize it’s bottle 1 of 5, barrel 257. Yeah I’ll hold that for a special occasion and drink an unsigned bottle. Great Distillery Great folks. Will schedule a on site tour to get that new bottle.
