be VERY strong emotionally. VERY. You will be exhausted. Lack of sleep, lack of meals, rushing all the time. So, be if u have the time now, relax as much as u can. Prep your mental for what's about to come.

@@combat2064Absolutely right! Plus never lose track of why you chose the profession and to believe in yourself. Six doctors in my family - so tough to watch as they go through hsmanship, but years later they are still docs in public hospitals. It must be love 😅

Hi! I'm an aspiring medical student who just completed pre-university studies. I wanted to ask for some advice. As an international school Malaysian student, I have a very poor grasp of Bahasa Malaysia. In your personal experience, is using BM part of regular work as a doctor? I'm worried that this personal matter of not being fluent in BM will set me back in this career in the future. Would it be acceptable to resort to only using English during shifts and housemanship? Any advice would be helpful! I'm currently in a dilemma about whether to go into engineering or medicine. Thank you for reading this far. ❤

Passing BM and having BM result in SPM is a prerequisite to enroll into housemanship in Malaysia. So taking BM as an extra subject is a must for you during your MBBS if you decided to do your housemanship in Malaysia. No worries. Malay is a simple language to learn and I pretty sure you will be able to learn the language well soon
