Damn you havent had much luck with the weather ! then again its probably better than struggling through 40 c and bushfires in Summer :) .My parents came out from Scotland in 1958 and mum had a 1 hour train trip into Melbourne for her work ,she remembered her first summer sitting in the train (no A/c) thinking what have we done have we moved into hell ? lol . She is 93 and still going strong and no regrets moving here .

If you heard dogs barking then I'd say they could have been wild dogs as dingos can't bark.
