I have the historidor tradicion they are amazing quality and very comfortable to wear and outside the normal you dont see a lot so thats great too

I've always love this watch but am puzzled as to why you describe it as a diver. I haven't seen Grand Seiko do that, and genuinely curious how it rates in the shock depart,ent compared to the newer 9R66-based watches they do sell as Divers. I've been eyeing the 9RA5-based SLGA023 diver, but there is no denying that aesthetic appeal of this one. Replace the 24 hour bezel with a proper dive bezel, assure me it meets the ISO shock standards, and I think I'd lose my last few excuses not to take the, uh, plunge.

I got mine exactly a year ago (May 2023) and it is just STUNNING. The Cherry Dial is unique and superb. The level of finishing makes it look like White Gold. I am in love and it also has a marvelous precision of +2 secs a day.

You are paying for a story, not a watch. Like all Luminox watches, they are very cheaply made. Get a true military watch from companies like Marathon.

If you love Grand Seiko, you will buy both Hi-beat and Spring Drive. Both are engineering masterpiece in terms of movement, although the Hi-beat (i.e. 36000 vph) are also available from other brands. If you have to only choose one, I will prefer Spring Drive for the uniqueness of Grand Seiko.

If the dial is randomly textured and unique to other productions of the same model then I think that it's important to inspect in person to purchase to find the more attractive pattern.

One of the best G shock editions ever created, but they really dropped the ball on the packaging. Its sadly very underwhelming. The box is very cheap plastic!

I don't understand why Seiko shoves its crappy mineral crystal into all presace series watches that are 500-700 euros. you can get a watch with the same quality and sapphire crystal from citizen for 300 euros. it's a shame seiko makes good looking watches.
