This is amazing! I have been wondering, can roll bars be completely hidden looking more like chassis strengthening? So what it would take is a digital scan of the bare inside of the unibody and then it might need cut a bit, probably best done digitally and had pre cut at a CNC or something, then stitched together. The idea to me is that these birdcages made of water pipe have had their time, we have way better resources, so why not revolutionize and start making something just as strong you can hide underneath interior panels? I guess you would need to start by getting some way to measure strengths of existing rollcages. Then find ways to meet or hopefully exceed the strengths. While you keep pushing this technology with precise measuring and the scanning, and design in software, I would think you might already have some physics simulations to test what it can withstand and how it would bend? If not is it just educated guesswork? Do you have computer controlled mandrel benders too? That would save you a ton of headache trying to chase a dream like that. Everything would need to be so precise to fit the contours of the structure. It would take a lot of prototyping and testing and then a lot of work with officials to get something passed for that level of protection, but for safety I don't see why not. I would guess there are plenty of people out there that want that safety but don't want rollbars in the way. So it seems like a no brainer that eventually this is just going to be the way it will be someday. Though I know a lot of people feel safe by them being so huge and visible too. I just have that vision. You are perhaps the only one on youtube I have seen even coming close to the quality and technology innovation that might be able to pull something like that off. Thanks for reading.

I had just found you guys on KZfaq and have started watching from your 1st video. My question is where did you get that jig built with the holes in the plate. I just have a 2x3 table with 1/4" plate on it. Thanks and keep it up

Bummer! You fast forwarded thru the actual crimp procedure. Did you need to remove the masking tape from the end of the hose before crimping? Did the aramid braid try to unravel requiring trimming before crimping? 0:04

What will the Vette certify to? With the square tube back half, does the main hoop land on the square tube crossmember or through the square to a continuous 1 5/8 # 1 bar? I have a square tube chassis with a 4 link and a 3 piece crossmember that as the rules state, needs to be 1 piece. I'm trying to figure out how to make it work with out cutting it completely apart.

I’m well aware this is a stupid question but I’m curious anyway. To your knowledge would your 4th gen fbody 25.3 kit fit in a 3rd gen? Well, I guess i mean would the shell fit over the chassis. I know it’s a dumb question but no one sells a 25.3 kit for a 3rd gen so I was just curious before I build my own. I know they’re very similar but wasn’t sure if it would work
