To remove the remaining water, you hold down the toilet handle, and it drains the water in the tank.

for anyone finding this now....The plate needs to go with the # side up (each designed plate is numbered) and you have to fit it into the notches and turn slightly to lock into place. Otherwise when you back up the plunger (like they tell you to, to release the dough) the plate will wobble around & let dough leak thru the sides of the plate. Now I have figured all of that out. What I can't figure out is how to get the dang dough to release from the press. Maybe the dough should be cold? Maybe the pan should be cold? Any help would be appreciated.
@kathey19814 ай бұрын
I think this was my first video. You can watch my other one and it might show what you just mentioned. The dough being cold would help but the whole thing is it sticks to the pan is how it releases. That's why you don't grease the pan.

@@kathey1981 THX! I think MY cookie sheets might have been the issue too, because they have built up a layer of 'seasoning' & have a roughish texture & at first I was trying to use parchment paper. I asked a friend later & she said yes to the cold dough & yes to cold cookie sheets that are entirely smooth. I'll give it another try before ditching it. 😁

How is the tape holding up?
@kathey19814 ай бұрын
I changed the entire commode so that was just a quick fix until I could get someone in to replace it. The only problem with the tape on there was it had to go around that curve and as you know tape doesn't really want to do that. It dripped slightly. I just put something down there to catch the water as it slowly dripped. Lol

Also I have heard that coconut oil is beneficial for the memory. Put it on toast with jam or honey. Google it. It's worth a try perhaps? Medication for you isn't necessarily going to make the stress go away. Prayer is probably more effective in my opinion. Obviously I am not a dr, and you know best what is good for you. Use your channel to get support and look for other channels that are having the same struggles.

Thank you for the video Kathey, I just inherited this press from my grandma who passed a couple weeks ago. I always enjoyed the cookies as a kid, but at my grandma was far enough away that I only got to see the cookie making process once or twice as a young boy. Sitting down today to relive those memories and needed a grandma like fill in to show me how to use the press I just inherited. While you might not be my grandma, thank you for taking the time to make this video. It means a lot to be able to carry on a family tradition, and today you've helped me do that. Thank you and Merry Christmas. ❤

I dont know if your mom is still in your care at this point. I've taken care of a lady with dementia for eleven years . Those earlier years of it were so hard. She's a stage 7d right now at 95 years old. The last few years are physically harder but honestly at this point they are the most precious time with her now that she's reached the last stage. Its been quite a journey. The hardest part was at the stage you describe in this video. Teepa Snow and Careblazer youtube videos have helped tremendously. If you are lifting to transfer to a bed or toilet be sure to watch videos to see how to do it correctly so you don't hurt yourself.

No, my mother passed in January 2023 which was this year. I've watched all of the videos and sometimes nothing helps. We did the best we could and I think she would have appreciated all that I did for her. In the end she didn't seem to be as contrary and sometimes she was actually very sweet. She didn't really know who my daughter was that came to help me in October and at one point or another she didn't really recognize me either. That was fine. She wasn't afraid. She just thought we were one of her sisters. Thank you for the suggestions!
