sir my question is if we using a universal forwarder that means we are using local user ?? and universal forwarder is push method ?? as per my knowledge universal forwarder installed in client side
@siemxpertАй бұрын
Yes.. universal forwarder will be installed on each servers and it will collect the logs locally and can send the logs to heavy forwarder or to indexer directly, Universal forward can be installed as Local user account or domain and virtual accounts.

I appreciate the class, but man... go slow, breathe when you talk. If it was in your language, ok I get it, but damn, you speak fast, I had to slow the video in speed settings. 🤣

what about email filtering rules?
@swapnabachu37202 ай бұрын
Sir! I haven't understood the part why phishing email isn't blocked by email security gateway.. what signature you are talking about?
@swapnabachu37202 ай бұрын
Delayed Signature Updates: For gateways that rely heavily on signatures or blacklists, there can be a delay between a new phishing campaign launch and the update of these lists. During this delay, phishing emails may not be recognized by the security system. Now understood sir ! thank you

Thank you sir! As this is the question asked to me by the interviewer previously, i did not get a chance to even talk abt it and trying to know what exactly is the correct answer… how can phishing emails be blocked? Email filtering rules only the way after investigation?
@swapnabachu37202 ай бұрын
Can’t we proactively block them before hitting our mailboxes?

WHY WE NOT USE IPV5?
@siemxpert2 ай бұрын
IPv5 was actually an experimental protocol developed in the 1970s by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). However, it was never widely adopted due to various technical limitations and issues. Instead, IPv6 was developed to address the shortcomings of IPv4, such as the limited number of available IP addresses. So, IPv6 became the standard for future internet protocols, while IPv5 was ultimately abandoned.
