I am American. I assume that the three people who spoke on the importance of the honors system were the King, the Prince of Wales, and the Princess Royal.

how are the clock chimes pulled off here i see no cables or levers on the wall? with it being a huge drum and 10 hammers I'd have expected to see a pull off mechanism.

Asking for a friend, please explain why Princess Ann parades around in full military regalia? Did she ever serve in the British armed services? I mean there are medals branding, and a sword. 😂😂😂 The British monarchy, Madonna Camilla the aristocracy an imaginary world. 😂😂😂
@hamish93
@hamish93 Ай бұрын
The Princess Royal has not served in the military, as is custom in the Royal Family, she has Honorary commissions in all three services. The medals are various anniversary, jubilee, order and coronation medals awarded to her by the monarch.

I’m Australian and I admire and respect our King and the Royal Family and hold a special affection for Princess Anne, who I had the pleasure of meeting and having a short chat to.

I'm also Australian and I certainly admire and respect the King and is family. Nevertheless, I am extremely disappointed that, for whatever good reason, Charles has not yet even visited Australia as King of Australia and Australia's Head of State! Our country deserves and needs a Head of State who is committed to it. One who actively represents us and promotes Australia, its business and commerce. King Charles is a good and noble person, and he's obviously very busy - BUT mate!...being Head of State of our beautiful country is NOT a part-time job where you never need to show up. It's high time that Australia elected a President - a man or woman who has the time and commitment to actually be in Australia and to serve the Australian people as a Head of State should.

@theon9575
@theon9575 Ай бұрын
@@destonhaarstad855 yes indeed, and he has my sincere sympathies. And that's what I referenced with the phrase "for whatever good reason". But I'm saying that Australia needs a Head of State who is committed to Austrlia because it's an important full-time job,at least. If we had a President, full-time promoting Australia and living in Canberra but is now 75 years old and was 'fighting cancer', then I would feel deeply sorry for them. But I would also think it might be time for them to retire from the Presidency, and for him/her to be replaced. This job "Head of State" is important and could achieve a lot for our country - look at the excellent elected President of Ireland, for example. it's not a job you can really do properly for 15 different countries at the same time, some on the other side of the world, by a 96 year-old lady or a 75 year-old man fighting cancer and so never visited. Or put the other way around, if being Head of State of 15 different countries at the same time is something an old lady of 96 years can do, then there can't be much to it. And that is no personal comment or disrespect for the late Queen or her son.

The fundamentals sound flat in the trebles, so probably Whitechapel's first ring tuned with octave hums.

It always nice to hear really well struck ringing, also nice open leads . The bells are also classic old school bells. This must have been s9mexof the last bells cast by Whitechapel.

Love Stedman - annoying when you lose a peal of it close to the end. I never got to ring a peal of Stedman Caters when I lived in the UK - only had one attempt and it was miscalled after 2.5 hours. Annoyed.

It is very nice to see bell ringing on the North Bank of the Humber, especially as they are northern Yorkshire barbarians! They should take a lil trip to the south band and Lincolnshire shire ringers will show them what time it is!😂😅😂😂😅

I have measured the peal speed as 2h55, so not too fast, and only 4 minutes faster than the only other peal on the ten bells. Ringing tends to sound quicker when the number of bells increases.
