You caught an interesting effect at 0:58 with the hyperlapse of the moored skiffs. At first I thought it might have been a turn of the tide, but my guess is their motion is just wind and current.

Thank you Warren. I flew threw frontwards and then reversed in post, so yes. The very end of the video shows it going forward.

@akirasho also, the car is behind a fence, so it was double trouble if I would have dumped the drone!!!! Lost forever. @usadroneflyer and it would have been much like the tug boat in Joe's neck of the woods.

yes, he hit the tree head on, and the avata recovered. The avata 2 would have gone in the drink as it's more temperamental.

@usadroneflyer I don't think he lost connection. This is the recording through my goggles as I am a ride along passenger. I don't think the ride along goggles does a real good job of connecting. I have only done a ride along twice and it'g been a while. I might try again when I get together with another avata flyer.

The first thing I do is start the drone up, get my satellites and turn the drone off. Than i connect the Sphere, configure settings, start recording and than start up the drone again and take off. The drone remembers that SATS from the first time and I have no issues. Great video Lance, thanks for sharing.

I recommend trying: 1 power on the sphere and connect phone. Choose recording mode and start recording with phone. Turn off phone wifi/ connection to sphere. This will prevent WiFi interference with the drone. 2 power on remote (my phone when flying is always in aeroplane mode) and drone . Wait to lock on GPS/ sats. Take off and fly in cine mode 👍 Be aware of battery percentage/ drainage

I was flying in the wilds of Eastern Oregon last week and could have used a pad like that, but really I need to put in the reps to be comfortable hand-launching and recovering.
