In the three years since you made this video, Blue Magic Polishing cream is now $11.12 at Walmart not $5.00.

2-3 times is enough that way. I sometimes disregard the back to loop orientation and just do 3 loops, with nothing lost so far over 5 years.

Chuck....that right there is a killer night jig. I know you are going to think I am crazy but if you and your sons ever night fish for smallmouth...mix in some pink on that jig. I stumbled onto black and pink for night fishing about 15 years ago. Don't know what it is but on Lake Wilson and Lake Pickwick here in Northern Alabama black and pink was my weapon when fishing night tournaments. There have been many weigh-ins where my competitors begged me to show the bait I was taking their money with. The cat was let put of the bag when we had a draw tournament and my partner saw what I was using. That same tournament he was using all black hair jigs and I was outfishing him 10-1. Now here is what's crazy....smallmouth won't touch it in the day time. I have tried pink and brown, pink and olive during the day thinking it would work but nope! Next time you are bored take that same jig and put some pink buck tail or pink craft fur on top of the black and see what happens. Hint....this works with short armed spinner baits that I make.

Back in 94 I almost got to hold the biggest Smallmouth I've ever seen. And my personal best is 6. 5 Lbs and 24 1/2 inches . Anyways long story short river Smallmouth on a solid pink and white belly jerkbait I gave my work buddy because he had lost his #2 mepps. I thought he had a Muskie hooked up at first the way it was smoking his Zebco 33😬. He was more a part time fisherman and didn't really know how to fight a big fish as his drag was begging as he went backwards up the river bank back walking me screaming STOP!! . When I saw this Smallmouth I couldn't believe it, it looked unreal I know easy I mean easily over 9 right in front of me. Right when I reached for it in 2 ft water it surge and snapped his line we both just stood there looking at each other. And the spot he hooked it I had done made several cast in the area with black silver rapla. That day put pink on the list lol some my favs pink black, pink chartreuse, pink white and green. I haven't tied any on channel but definitely going to it's also a killer color walleye, crappie. Sorry for long story lol do you tie?? tight lines.

Yep. I have been tying many years and am an avid night fisherman on Pickwick Lake here in north Alabama. Two baits I use at night. A short arm spinner bait I designed and hair jigs.

Have you considered replacing the bead with a tritium night sight?
@HillsandGills
@HillsandGills Ай бұрын
That would be nice, but with my setup the fiber sight paired with the tac light and angle of the light down the barrel makes the fiber beed pop. Allowing full night visual of front sight and my entire surroundings. But if I wasn't running a tac light I would probably go tritium

I had problems placing a heat shield on my 590 once I placed a magpul fore grip on it! It was hard to rack it so I took a heat gun and carefully heated the fore grip ends up and flared it some and that made it rack like it’s supposed to! The fore grip is heated like you would heat Kydex to form something! Just be careful of how much you heat it so you don’t melt it! Just enough to open it!

This EXCEEDED my expectations of the way I handled it yesterday. If I will have a45 ACP pistol, it’ll be this one instead of a 1911! Slightly lower recoil and muzzle rise that the XD9 Sub-Compact hands down. BEAUTIFUL shooter! There’s also a 50% chance this might become my first gun since I cannot decide which 9mm pistol I should have yet.

Thanks for this video! So is this pusher fairly universal with different brands, or is it just dedicated to glock? I bought the XS Gunsmith version site pusher, but now I’m starting to gather up some different stuff and I’m wanting to switch out to night sights…love what you did with the calibration indicator as well, (very clever) and it seems to be actually functional in regards to accurate zeroing!…..The XS Calibration indicator is not that great, and you really have to improvise by making your own marks on it I’m disappointed to say.
