This has nothing to do with tennis. Crazy McEnroe should've been banned for live from playing tennis for his behavior on court in the past.
@mattcarlson82626 күн бұрын
Zverev has not been found guilty, is being attacked for alleged violence. Violence in any form is wrong, but let's let the judicial system do its job, that is not the job of the media. It is to report news not pander to audiences in order to sell their stories. Jelena Dojic was wrong to use her job as a commentator to ambush Sabalenka on court like that - a very bad move....`the ATP and the WTA should of course have some sort of protocol concerning violence, on the court or off, tennis players today are like rock stars, their behaviour is watched closely by millions of people, children included. Excellent role models are essential.
@miroslavjanecek99936 күн бұрын
I don't understand why would him being innocent/guilty have anything to do with him playing tennis. It's his job. If he is indeed found guilty then he will be punished and after that he can play tennis like before. People are not losing their jobs if they are found guilty of something. So I don't really get the question.

i get innocent until proven guilty is important, but when proof like the kind sharypova put out exists and it directly ties to some real life events, along with the fact that I generally try to believe the victim in cases like these no matter who is on what side, I still feel a lot of distrust for zverev

no he shouldn't - he already WAS found guilty. that's why he got the fine and why the mother of his child got a restraining order. it's only going to trial bc he's appealing it but the judge had sufficient evidence to find him guilty without a trial. don't get it twisted. after the way he acted in Acapulco he should've been suspended then and especially now.

Doing nothing in the face of DOCUMENTED domestic violence is not acceptable and the ATP has turned a blind eye. I'm disgusted and furthermore people celebrating his recent victory adds to my disgust.

There isn’t anything verified. You can’t just ban somebody from working just because someone says that they shoved them or put their hands on them. That’s just not enough.

@dobbersanchez11855 күн бұрын
@@brendajohnson5525 documentation - material that provides official information or evidence or that serves as a record. verification - the process of establishing the truth, accuracy, or validity of something. Here's my work, however I am more confused, these two terms dont form a line of coherence in the sentence in which you used them. It seems, based on other comments that there is one instance of domestic violence that was successfully prosecuted in a court of law. The second instance was only reported and no charges have been laid. If you were in such a position, and were hypothetically innocent, would you be happy with that kind of baseless trigger-happy justice? I'm happy to educate myself, but I'd like you to do some critical self-reflection.

@@nikimohajer4787 by replying to this comment you are engaging 🤡🤡. And zverev was asked about this in a press conference pre Roland garros- to which he said that he had no extra pressure from the court proceedings because he trusts in the German legal system and he know he isn’t guilty. Just saying, he seems pretty sure of his innocence for someone who is apparently a definite domestic abuser. Not saying he’s guilty/innocent, just that both cases are entirely possible

There should be a domestic violence policy (not intelligent enough to say what it should be) because it’s a frankly horrific scenario if Zverev wins RG but is found guilty. I believe in innocent until proven guilty for everyone, and it’s difficult to say for sure if he should be suspended; but I don’t think he should be on the Player’s Council until a scenario where he is found innocent.
