ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL... thank you so much! I love this song; it is performed at most funerals at my church in Central Pennsylvania & leaves me with tears of joy & comfort streaming down my face every time! I have been listening to MANY versions of it on KZfaq this morning in order to find "the right one" to share with a dear friend who is grieving the loss of her beloved Grandmother this weekend. I wanted a specific type of performance... not one watered down by voices "going through the motions". Scott Soper has a gorgeous voice, but I feel his version is marred by a bland choir accompaniment & is devoid of passion for the meaning of the words. IMO, this song calls for a small number of pure strong voices, harmonizing, emotive, & filling the room... your voices compliment each other beautifully & your performance is full of emotion... you make the song come alive & cause me to FEEL the incredible message of this beautiful piece! The organist/conductor has also done a lovely job. I would be so grateful were I to find that you have since recorded this together in a sound studio or with some type of advanced sound equipment so that we would have a crystal clear & enhanced version of this stunningly beautiful hymn, brought to life by your God-given gifts.
