It's pronounced the Fest-in-iog Railway I would like to think that in the mid 2010s the Arlesdale brought and restored an engine from Spain just like the Ravenglass & Eskdale Also it would make sense to have Jock built in 1990 because at the time the R&ER was building Northern Rock 2 for a Japanese client so castings etc could be shared.

Hello @elsbridgestudios1885. Great video you got here! Btw I’m writing a book whether you believe it or not. Is it ok if I use this video to help me make it? I’ll try my best not to copy your video word for word. I also ask if it’s ok that I can use the chapter titles in this video for my book. Thank you.

I will say they are in the same universe because Big Mickey has a face in the show. If I saw a revived series of Thomas and Friends, I would like it if they brought back TUGS in the Thomas universe and imagine character dynamics and the crossovers.

My answer to that title is an extremely simple yes.

Why do UK locomotives have different whistles/horns than US locomotives? US steam locomotives have very powerful multi-chime whistles, where UK steam locomotives have whistles that sound more like a note played on a recorder. US diesel locomotives have powerful multi-chime horns, while UK diesel locomotive horns have two tones that are emitted separately from each other, making it sound like they have two horns. Why is this?

I think one thing that should also be mentioned is how engine numbers are pronounced, americans do it as double digits while we do single digits. I've noticed, for example: Fourty-Four Seventy-Two (American) Four-Four-Seven-Two (British)

True, however there history is linked and the Arlesdale Railway probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the Mid Sodor Railway.

Officially that honour belongs to Skarloey, being built back in 1865. Unofficially the oldest engine on Sodor is Neil, being built back in the late 1850's but only if in your head-cannon he still lives on Sodor.

I think the reason why the Skarloey Railway engines are different colors in the TV Series is because Britt didn’t want to have the engines all in the same color, as it would be hard to tell them apart, and the railway would be boring if all the engines (except Duke and Rusty) were red, so knowing this, Britt had them painted in different colors. This would probably explain Duncan wanting to be painted yellow; he was getting tired of the red, wanting more color to the railway.

1:12:31 it's a disaster....Hurricane Mattel category 10 Hurricane devastates the island of Sodor and changed the tank engines into children like the HiT narrow gauge trains and turn it into the most devastating moments ever .... in 2025 *WE REALLY NEED A COMEBACK OF THE MODEL SERIES....EVEN BY 2030!!!!* and was worse 20% reboot doesn't has a freaking windmill .... Zorran and diesel are not synonymous characters Zorran becomes softer and more humble over the course of the series diesel never becomes like that
@elsbridgestudios18858 ай бұрын
I'm not so sure about that. Unlike Diesel, Zorran does show a few moments of common sense but I wouldn't go as far as to say he is humbled by the end. He knows who he can and can't mess with and recognises when siding with the opposition is beneficial for his own gains but he is still a devious schemer. Whilst Diesel may not be like that in the TV series he does slowly start that transition towards the end. And in the Railway Series he is a bit more like Zorran, best example being towards the end of the book 'Thomas & The Evil Diesel'.
