For me time comes from the sun, the sticks in the sand create a shadow, the seasons define time, the weather. Sometimes if light is above the shadow is short.

I remember years ago I had an experience I was watching the body from about 15 yards away it had it's arms raised above its head the other just watched there was nothing else just no emotion no thought no nothing it just watched the other looked like it was fear full of something the light was that of a dim lamp
