The innocence of sleeping children Dressed in white and slowly dreaming Stops all time I slow my steps and start to blur So many years have filled my heart I never thought I'd say those words Further we go And older we grow The more we know The less we show Further we go And older we grow The more we know The less we show The very first time I saw your face I thought of a song and quickly changed the tune The very first time I touched your skin I thought of a story and rushed to reach the end too soon Oh, remember Oh, please don't change And so the fall came, thirteen years A shiny ring, and how I could forget your name The air no longer in my throat Another perfect lie is choked But it always feels the same So they, close together Dressed in red and yellow Innocent forever Sleeping children, in their blue soft rooms Still dream Further we go And older we grow The more we know The less we show Further we go And older we grow The more we know The less we show

The lyrics are nonsensical but the vocals and music itself is killer, so I love it. 😀

I accidentally stumbled upon that concert. My first time on Europe (first time on another country besides MX and USA actually). I just arrived to Rome, left the luggage at the hotel and went out with my brother and a friend to just wander around to see something interesting. Saw bunch of young people walking in the same direction so we went along. And BAM... we're at my first The Cure concert in my first night overseas, and they started playing my favourite TC song at that moment.

it’s just the studio/single/album version with them pretending to play live. standard 80s stuff. but there’s literally nothing different about this version.

i thought i watched TOTP all the time in the those days yet I thought the first time I ever saw The Cure was with Robert Smith wearing his famous make up. I suppose that shows the importance of having a distinctive appearance in a competitive business. That's the one that gets remembered. After all look at the impact the first appearance of Culture Club made. Everyone was talking about Boy George the next day.

Since I'm not very musically inclined, can someone tell me what the peddle board is for the guitars and bass? What do they do?

I’ll never understand why TV shows present mimed performances. Were they concerned about the single not being precisely the recorded product?

Immaculate lip synching. I’m sure they didn’t need to, probably a video producer decision.

Semplicemente nel 1981 ,per i live veri, non c'era la tecnologia di adesso e quindi nelle trasmissioni televisive spesso era normalissimo il playback, tutto qua .
