Thank you Nancy for the helpful video. I'm still wondering about the total cost to apply for JTTP and whether there are any annual fees to maintain membership? And how long will this JTTP card be valid? Can you please advise me with this 🤔
@hotelreviewsontheplanet12 сағат бұрын
Hi, that's a great question. The total cost is 2200 JPY, and it’s valid for three years. There are no additional costs.

It took 36+ years, but we finally got a VP candidate who's actually worse than James Danforth Qualye. Qualye was scrapping the bottom of the barrel, but JD Vance is looking up to see the bottom of said barrel.

Hi Nancy if you had to pick between Kimpton St Honore and Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, what's your pick and why? Thx in advance you're the best!
@hotelreviewsontheplanet3 күн бұрын
Hiiiii, If I had to choose between the two, I would unhesitatingly choose the InterContinental. I feel that the InterContinental has a longer history, and its decor aligns more with my aesthetic preferences. The breakfast is exquisite. The InterContinental truly embodies the essence of Paris.

Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) allows temporary visitors to use automated gates. It’s kinda like a fast track.
@hotelreviewsontheplanet3 күн бұрын
Yes. You’re correct. Applicants have to possess a passport from a country or region that doesn’t need a visa for visits to Japan.

Hi, very nice video!!! Does a "World Elite Mastercard" (with international account also in Yen) suffice for a TTP? I am planning to travel to Japan (very first time) in next fall... I have already registered into the TTP site and I can log-in... Will I need to return within 6 or 12 months (it would be 2nd time) and then finalize the process?
@hotelreviewsontheplanet4 күн бұрын
Hiii,Thank you for your comment. The card you mentioned is sufficient for applying for the TTP. However, as you haven't been to Japan before, you need to complete a second-stage interview at a Japanese airport within six months of applying. Additionally, you must have entered Japan at least twice within a year from the date of this interview. Please ensure you will enter Japan within six months and have visited twice within the past year before submitting your application. As this is your first trip to Japan, you may not be eligible for the card this time. I wish you a smooth first trip to Japan and success in your future JTTP application!

@@hotelreviewsontheplanet Hi, thanks for Ur reply! Forgive me since I am a bit "dense" 😅 I do not understand so well the process...I will travel in Japan the first time, I will submit the request and then I will have to enter Japan a second time (within six months) to complete the interview? So the time I will do the interview should count as "second time in 12 months"?
@solid4773 күн бұрын
@@axios101If you have to ask, you don't need the JTTP. It's not going to be very useful for occasional travellers. The program was originally for frequent travellers usually for business/work multiple times a year, and companies would do it for you and walk you through it. With the expansion, it would be useful to freelancers and influencers that frequently visit without needing company backing.
@axios1012 күн бұрын
It is also for tourists who would like to visit more than one time a year or who would like to buy an house there...
@solid4772 күн бұрын
@@axios101 getting permanent residency as a foreigner is already extremely difficult, and in 99% of cases without family ties, will need long-term sponsorship and full visa, let alone buying property. A JTTP won't help in this area. It's just a time saver, similar to Global Entry, mainly designed to speed up a few minutes getting through airport immigration checkpoints. Even Global Entry is recommended only if you travel internationally 4+ times a year.
@highflyinbrian4 күн бұрын
The most irritating part of the program is that when you arrive they try to wave you into the foreign passport line. When you start walking to the automated gate, they panic like you’re lost and try harder to get you into the foreign passport line. 😂
@hotelreviewsontheplanet4 күн бұрын
😂 thanks for sharing this. That’s very cute 😂 we may need to hold the card all the way to the gate 😂
@highflyinbrian4 күн бұрын
One small correction on your intro. The secondary inspection doesn’t need to be at an airport. I did mine at the Osaka immigration office in the city and there was no waiting and the staff knew exactly what to do. I had my card in 10 minutes there.
@hotelreviewsontheplanet4 күн бұрын
Heeey thanks for this. Yes it has to be a designated immigration office but doesn’t need to be at the airport.

I am looking at staying here. Thanks for your vlog. As much as I love the main harbour, Darling Harbour is a great part of Sydney. I had a Darling Harbour view at the Shangri-La but that is a little more expensive. Many thanks Nancy 🙂
@hotelreviewsontheplanet3 күн бұрын
Personally, I don't think the price difference is particularly significant. The breakfast restaurant at the Shangri-La is truly stunning, and it's closer to the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Sofitel is slightly newer, but I feel its location isn't as good as the Shangri-La's. It really depends on what you prioritize more. Regardless of which hotel you choose, I hope you have a pleasant stay!
@SpoiltGirl700017 күн бұрын
Hi, nice video.I personally don't feel this particular hotel is worth the price. I've stayed 4 times and found each room to allways be disapointing. The view is the only aspect worth the price .Every room is allways, the size of a shoe box including suites. All the bathrooms are allways disapointing size wize. An adult can't comfortably move around. The view is the only thing that saves this place from being a complete disaster. You would be better off staying elsewhere on the area. The places elsewhere are huge size, room wise. The places have kitchens, 2 bathrooms etc. The above place features terrible rooms , they know they draw people in simply for the view.

Ok excuse me but you are very mistaken about this place. I stayed here in 2021, I paid an absolute fortune for my room!! And in the morning I went down to the Embers fake restaurant and there was no staff members to serve me a coffee??!! No one at concierge desk, after a hard night I had to go down to the golf pro shop with my friend to get a bottle of water..
